Rivers and streams in every county of New Jersey have elevated levels of PFAS chemicals. These so-called “forever chemicals” don’t break down, and are linked to cancer, developmental problems, and other health risks.
Environment New Jersey is calling on state leaders to put a plan into action which would upgrade water treatment plants to filter out PFAS pollution.
We are hiring canvassers and field managers in our New Brunswick office to educate the public about the issue, raise critical funds, and generate the visibility necessary to influence decision-makers to take action on these problems.

Canvassing staff earn a base pay of $17.00 per hour, plus can earn 20% of what they raise over our minimum fundraising standard, giving staff the opportunity to earn more than $20 per hour. Staff never earn less than minimum wage for the hours that they work. Depending on performance and location, canvassers earn an average of between $17 to $21 per hour.
