DESCRIPTION: Since 1983, Xavier Mission has welcomed, served, and empowered our guests with dignity and respect. We operate five community outreach programs that provide a continuum of services, including the Life Skills Empowerment Programs (LSEP).

LSEP provides trauma-informed group support, life skills workshops and trainings, one-to-one mentoring, and supportive services to trauma survivors. This includes current and formerly unhoused individuals, sexual assault survivors, veterans, justice-involved persons, and domestic violence survivors. Our program provides a safe space for participants to process and reframe their traumatic experiences, and empowers them to develop increased resiliency, create a new support system, and set and achieve goals. Additionally, LSEP aids in the process of recovery from trauma through sharing of life stories and the establishment of a supportive community. The program is currently offered twice a year. Each group meets twice weekly, during evening hours.

Reporting to the LSEP Director, the full-time LSEP Assistant Coordinator plays a substantial and crucial role in contributing to the success of our LSEP programs and overall mission.
