Education Program Manager

The Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association (SRNA) is seeking to hire a full-time Education Program Manager. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating SRNA’s educational materials and learning initiatives to ensure they are scientifically accurate, current, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the rare neuroimmune disorder community. The successful candidate will collaborate across SRNA’s research, programs, and communications team to strengthen SRNA’s educational mission and support individuals, families, clinicians, and partners worldwide.

The Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association (SRNA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the support of children, adolescents, and adults with rare neuroimmune disorders including acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), acute flaccid myelitis (AFM), MOG antibody disease (MOGAD), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), optic neuritis (ON) and transverse myelitis (TM). Our stakeholders include individuals diagnosed with a rare neuroimmune disorder and their families and friends, clinicians, scientists, medical professionals, supporters, and related interested organizations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of SRNA’s educational resources, including disease education materials, new member resources, and learning tools for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
• Translate complex scientific and clinical information into clear, accurate, plain-language educational content across formats (written guides, research summaries, blogs, webinar scripts, video scripts, and other learning materials)
• Monitor emerging research, clinical developments, and best practices in rare neuroimmune disorders, and proactively recommend content updates and new resource needs
• Ensure scientific accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and inclusive design across SRNA educational content, including culturally responsive and multilingual adaptations where appropriate
• Partner with SRNA’s Creative Director and Online Learning team to develop and implement education content for SRNA’s digital learning initiatives
• Integrate research-informed education across SRNA programs and channels, including podcasts, symposia, outreach, and other community-facing initiatives
• Support the educational components of SRNA’s Rare Neuroimmune Disorders Symposia (RNDS), including session content review, learning objectives, and educational programming development
• Support SRNA’s Grand Rounds program by contributing to topic development, speaker/session preparation, and educational content review to ensure scientific quality and learner relevance
• Coordinate with SRNA’s communications team to support distribution of educational materials through social media, blogs, email/community updates, and other outreach channels
• Maintain organized education workflows, documentation, and content calendars to support sustainability and continuity across SRNA’s programs
• Serve as an internal resource to SRNA staff regarding educational content needs, updates, and scientific clarity
• Serve as an internal resource to SRNA staff and support community-facing intake by providing scientific clarity, helping prioritize educational content needs, and triaging requests for educational materials and resources
• Incorporate community feedback and engagement data (surveys, participation metrics, and other inputs) to evaluate impact and inform content improvements

Experience and Qualifications

While no one person will have all the qualities listed below, the successful candidate will bring many of the following qualifications and attributes:

• A desire and ability to support and learn from the community of individuals and families affected by rare neuroimmune disorders
• Strong ability to synthesize scientific and clinical information and communicate it clearly to diverse audiences
• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills, with attention to accuracy and detail
• Bachelor’s degree required in public health, health education, neuroscience, immunology, biomedical sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in health education, patient education, scientific communications, or related nonprofit or healthcare settings preferred
• Experience developing educational content for patient, caregiver, or clinical audiences
• Project management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and thrive in a small, dynamic organization with an ambitious agenda
• Self-disciplined, driven, creative, able to demonstrate initiative, and able to work collaboratively across a virtual team environment
• High standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism, including dealing with sensitive and proprietary information
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing required; multilingual preferred
• Technical proficiencies: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, project management software, Wordpress, familiarity with AI-assisted tools or research monitoring systems, and comfort working with digital learning tools and content systems
• Preferred: Experience designing educational materials into visually engaging and accessible formats such as infographics, slide decks, and visual summaries.

Additional Information

• Location is remote, based on where the Education Program Manager resides
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week
• Involves travel in the US 1–3 times a year
• Requires some flexibility with occasional evenings and weekends due to global programming
