BWTEotR is a radically inclusive organization that is transforming inequitable and racially unjust workforce development and healthcare systems for Black women living in DC’s historically marginalized Wards 7 & 8. Founded in 2019, BWTEotR directly addresses the health and economic disparities embedded within “East of the River” neighborhoods through systems, narrative, and policy change.

    Job Summary

    • File Management: Organize and maintain digital and physical program files, data, and correspondence to ensure programs are documented with accountability.
    • Budget Support: Assist with tracking program-related expenditures and organizing receipts to support the Program Manager’s fiscal responsibility

    Programmatic Support

    • Project Tracking: Assist the Program Manager in monitoring timelines and tracking project deliverables for ongoing patient navigation interventions
    • Data Compilation: Assist with compiling qualitative and quantitative program data and organizing it for analysis by the Program Manager
    • Reporting Assistance: Help draft simple summaries or sections of internal and external reports that demonstrate program progress or highlight lessons learned.
    • Event Coordination and Community Engagement: Assist with patient navigation programs and events; assist with creating a coalition of community ambassadors who support outreach, storytelling, and inform systems change.

    Communications and Engagement Support

    • Correspondence: Draft, proofread, and format basic program-related communications, including emails and blogs, for internal and external audiences.
    • Community Outreach: Attend and assist with logistics for community engagement events and help maintain a database of community groups and external partners.
    • Programmatic Follow-Up: Ensure timely follow-up with key partners after meetings; ensure that new contacts are entered into the CRM system.
