    Employment: Part-Time (20 hours per week), with potential for transition to permanent/full-time

    Employer: The Halloran Trust (employment administered by The Philadelphia Foundation)

    Reports to: Executive Director, The Halloran Trust and The Visions Fund

    Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid)

    Compensation: $40/hour, commensurate with experience

    Overview

    The Program and Operations Associate provides administrative, operational, strategic, communications, and partnership support to advance the mission and operations of The Halloran Trust and its related initiatives, including The Visions Fund (TVF) at The Philadelphia Foundation. The role extends the Executive Director’s capacity by ensuring organizational clarity, responsive coordination, and well-supported relationships across the Halloran Trust’s ecosystem of partners.

    This position begins as a part-time role with the opportunity to transition into a permanent or expanded position based on mutual fit and the evolving needs of The Halloran Trust.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational & Administrative Support

    • Manage meetings, calendars, and materials related to The Halloran Trust’s operations, grants, and partnerships.
    • Prepare correspondence, board packets, and internal reports.
    • Track deliverables, deadlines, and reporting obligations.

    Strategic & Governance Support

    • Support documentation and recordkeeping across governance structures.
    • Assist in producing summaries, reports, and presentations.
    • Develop internal systems that enhance workflow and alignment.

    Communications & Content Development

    • Assist in the revamping of content for the Halloran Philanthropies website.
    • Draft letters, memos, and concept notes.
    • Translate complex concepts into clear language for diverse audiences.

    Partner & Foundation Coordination

    • Liaise with Philadelphia Foundation leadership on HR, finance, and operations.
    • Maintain communication with partners, grantees, and collaborators.
    • Track key partner relationships across the Halloran Trust’s networks and initiatives.
    • Assist in convening partners and managing logistics.

    High-Leverage & Conceptual Contributions

    • Discuss and evaluate trust-based philanthropy, proximate leadership, and equitable impact investing in concrete terms.
    • Apply these concepts to partnerships, grant strategies, and communications materials.
    • Provide research, context briefs, and synthesis documents.
    • Maintain understanding of Halloran Trust initiatives in Philadelphia.
    • Support a culture of trust, clarity, and responsiveness.

    Qualifications

    • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Experience in philanthropy or mission-driven organizations preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and anticipate needs.
    • Strong project-management capability.
    • Familiarity with Philadelphia’s social-impact ecosystem is a plus.

    Compensación
