    Program Summary

The East New York Family Center (ENYFC) provides support to families. Often, these families are coping with trauma, illness, loss, family changes or transitions, and disconnection. The ENYFC is a safe space for families to set clear goals for change while drawing from their own strengths and abilities. Through this program, social workers provide family therapy and case management support. The results from this program include parents and caregivers becoming more confident and less frustrated, children who are happier and set up for success, and relationships within the household and community that add value to residents’ lives.

The Program Director for ENYFC is responsible for overseeing the programming and services provided by the staff to help strengthen families and prevent the need for further child welfare involvement. This includes managing a staff of supervisors, social workers, case aides, conference facilitators, and a QA manager. Key duties include ensuring compliance with ACS/State regulations, supervising staff, monitoring program performance via data, and fostering community partnerships.

    Key Responsibilities:

Program Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preventive service site, ensuring compliance with ACS regulations and safety standards.

Staff Supervision: Provide ongoing management, clinical supervision, training, and support to social work and support staff to ensure effective service delivery. Complete performance evaluations for all direct reports

Compliance & Quality Assurance: Monitor case record documentation, ensure adherence to the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA), and manage data entry into systems (e.g., CONNECTIONS).

Community & Stakeholder Liaison: Establish and maintain relationships with community groups, health facilities, and stakeholders to improve service access.

Data & Performance Management: Leverage quantitative/qualitative data to monitor outcomes, assess service delivery, and implement improvements. Ensure that a staff-client coaching program follows the specific, evidence-based guidelines of Mobility Mentoring®

Fiscal Responsibility: Oversee program budgets, participant involvement, and compliance with contractual obligations.

    Qualifications:

    • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), LMSW/LCSW/SIFI preferred or a related human services field is required.
    • At least 5 years of experience in child welfare, preventive services, and 3 years in supervisory roles.
