    Descripción

    The Public Theater is seeking a Communications Manager, Development. This role will solicit and steward individuals across digital and print channels with a focus on conditional and segmented content that highlights donor impact on The Public. The person best suited for this role is just as comfortable writing copy as they are managing data. This position, within the Individual Giving team, will report to the Director, Patron Programs and Services.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for Development e-communications
      • Strategize and execute a communications schedule with a holistic view of the entire development department
      • Share out and review upcoming institutional communications in Development department meetings
      • Coordinate with external communications staff across departments to manage the Institutional Communications calendar
    • Collaborate with the Director, Patron Programs and Services to develop and execute multi-channel (mail, email/online, and onsite)solicitation and stewardship campaigns. Specifically:
      • Draft, edit, and manage email creation in Prospect2(P2)
      • Draft copy for members’ newsletters & season guides, brochures, special announcements, and other stewardship communications
      • Request extractions in Tessitura, prepare data, and route with internal stakeholders when necessary
      • Coordinate the design of fundraising collateral with The Public’sBrand Studio
      • Liaise with off-site print and mail vendors
      • Review and analyze performance metrics (open/click rate, donors, monies raised, etc.)
    • Collaborate with the Special Events team on special event invitations and confirmations.
      • Draft and send invitations and confirmation emails through P2Request extractions in Tessitura, prepare data, and route with internal stakeholders when necessary
    • Work cross-departmentally to gather information, quotes, stories, and photos needed for communications
    • Maintain the Development department’s pages on publictheater.org
    • Create and maintain all donor listings and program/production crediting on printed & digital materials
    • Draft copy for acknowledgment templates and liaise with other Development teams to ensure templates are maintained
    • Uphold data hygiene in compliance with defined standards
    • Assist the Special Events team at donor events throughout the year, as needed

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Proven analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
    • CRM Competency and willingness to expand skillset.Tessitura and Prospect2are our platforms.
    • Advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments i.e., Microsoft Office and specialized computer applications
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to present and disseminate data to various audiences
    • Ability to perform complex administrative tasks with only general supervision
    • A self-starter with the ability to set a course of action, prioritize deadlines, solve complex and delicate problems and organize information concisely and effectively.
    • Ability to work cross-departmentally with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment with numerous deadlines.
    • Knowledge of theater and the arts in NYC is a plus

    Compensation:

    • This is an exempt full-time position, according to the Fair Labor Standards Act, with an annual salary starting at $64,000.
