    Descripción

    Major Function:

    The Development Associate is part of Quality Trust’s Development team. The Associate helps implement the organization’s fundraising strategy, including assistance with donor engagement, giving campaigns, fundraising events, database management, and fundraising reporting.

    Is supervised by and reports directly to the Director of Development.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: None

    Classification: Exempt

    Essential Functions:

    1. Prepare prompt donor acknowledgements, reminders, invoices, and other donor engagement communications.
    2. Support fundraising events, including event marketing, communications, registration, logistics, soliciting and preparing silent auction items, tracking sales, donations, and other funds raised, and eventfollow-up.
    3. Assist with donor prospect research and development and execution of giving campaigns.
    4. Update fundraising materials, as needed.
    5. Maintain accurate donor records, including contact information, contributions, and communications, in the donor management database (currently Network for Good).
    6. Input data and ensure accuracy of the organization’s donor management database related to all grant awards.
    7. Generate donor reports, as requested, including quarterly metrics to update the Annual Development Plan for the Board Development Committee.
    8. Monitor trends and best practices in nonprofit fundraising and make recommendations to the Director of Development for new and ongoing strategies.
    9. Other duties, as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. Bachelor’s degree required with a degree in nonprofit management, social work, or a related field preferred.
    2. 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising.
    3. Superior writing and editing skills.
    4. Desire to learn and grow as a fundraising professional.
    5. Close attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively when under pressure.
    6. Goal-oriented with a strong initiative and ability to creatively solve problems and offer solutions, with minimal supervision.
    7. Must be able to work with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
    8. Strong skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, and Excel).
    9. Excellent interpersonal skills including patience, flexibility, and ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive issues.
    10. Personal interest and commitment to disability rights preferred.
