    Position Summary

    Bike Clark County is launching a community-centered E-Bike Lending Library to provide free, long-

    term access to electric bikes for low-income residents and overburdened communities.

    The Program Director will play a central role in managing operations, supporting participants,

    coordinating outreach and education, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

    This role includes approximately 10% dedicated to development and fundraising activities to support

    long-term program sustainability.Key Responsibilities

    Program Operations (60%)

    • Manage daily operations of the e-bike lending library
    • Oversee inventory and maintenance of up to 75 e-bikes
    • Coordinate bike check-out/check-in and participant tracking
    • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and user agreements
    • Support transition of bikes to ownership when applicable

    Community Outreach & Engagement (20%)

    • Partner with schools, nonprofits, and agencies to recruit participants
    • Conduct outreach through events, flyers, and social media
    • Support application intake and eligibility verification
    • Organize demo days, group rides, and community events

    Education & Support (10%)

    • Provide e-bike safety and usage training
    • Educate participants on:
    • Safe riding practices
    • Charging and maintenance
    • Helmet fitting and bike security
    • Serve as a participant support contact

    Development & Fundraising (10%)

    • Assist with grant writing and reporting
    • Track and document program outcomes and impact
    • Support donor engagement and partner relationships
    • Assist with fundraising campaigns and events
    • Contribute to long-term sustainability planning

    Qualifications

    Required:

    Preferred:

    • Passion for cycling, sustainability, and transportation equity
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Experience working with diverse or underserved communities
    • Willingness to learn bike maintenance basics
    • Flexible schedule (some evenings/weekends required)
    • Experience in nonprofit programs or fundraising
    • Spanish or multilingual skills
    • Knowledge of e-bikes or bike repair
    • Experience with data tracking or program reporting tools
    • Bachelor's degree in planning, education, community development, public affairs or related field and/or two (2) years of professional experience working with community groups and governments, managing small-to-medium scale programs which included program development, operational analysis, development of procedures and standards, and ensuring programs are inclusive of diverse, culturally specific or underserved communities.
