    Descripción

The American Association for Community Psychiatry (AACP) seeks a part-time Learning Management System Administrator to join our non-profit, member-driven, community/public psychiatric association. We seek a highly motivated, personable candidate who is detail-oriented and excels at communication, protocol and processes to join our growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for an independent self-starter interested in developing a newly created position designed primarily to help support AACP’s proprietary training initiatives and programs delivered to a widespread and broad base of providers working in the mental and behavioral health care space.

Come and join this vibrant and impactful organization and shape the future of community psychiatry!

    General Description:

This role will provide first-line customer support to AACP training end users, addressing common user issues such as forgotten passwords or navigating basic features of the learning management system (Moodle) that houses AACP training content, and communicating effectively with end user trainees from diverse professional backgrounds and professional capacity, with varying degrees of technical knowledge, aptitude and familiarity.

AACP has been providing training via an online learning management system (Moodle) for the last two years. We are currently contracting to reach a significantly larger training audience, and we need to increase our capacity to support the users of this online training. Key tasks for the LMS Administrator will include drafting and sending email correspondence to provide specific and precise instructions trainees/users/learners with varying levels of technical skill can follow, to enable them to correct end user errors encountered and/or created in their LMS interactions; Identifying and resolving common as well as unanticipated technical issues, sometimes working in tandem with the LMS host site and their staff, mindful of achieving minimal disruption to the training process for actual and potential end users. Using data analytics on the LMS to report on trainee progress to the AACP’s Director of Quality and Training and the AACP’s Director of Operations, to track the quality of learning engagement and training effectiveness, and to suggest approaches for enhancing the learning experience and outcomes. Generating user reports for invoicing purposes, for example, the number of new users on the LMS monthly, from specified geographic areas and/or organizations contracted with AACP for their employees to receive training.

As this work and our organization grows there’s an opportunity for this role to take on additional organizational responsibilities and roles. While the focus will initially be on email writing and customer support, there are lots of opportunities for growth within this small nonprofit for someone who’s interested and motivated. This could include project management, identifying and supporting other operational systems within the organization.

This is a part-time independent contractor role. The position is fully remote, offering lots of flexibility and independence. The AACP is a national membership organization, and the successful candidate should have the ability to accommodate meeting times convenient for various time zones as needed.

    Required Education/Skills/Abilities:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited higher education institution.
    • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support and/or project management.
    • Excellent organizational skills and fine-tuned attention to detail.
    • Can work well independently and in a self-directed way.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficiency with videoconferencing tools.

It’s a bonus if you also have:

    • Firsthand experience supporting a learning management system.
    • Knowledge of best practices for adult learning.
    • Understanding of AI and automated response systems for customer service.
