Position Summary:
OEC is seeking a Digital Communications and Marketing Manager to take our digital storytelling to new levels. This role manages OEC’s social media, website, email software, and design assets, and works closely with OEC’s program directors and development team to triage requests and produce original content. Some travel around the state to document events (from lobby days to OEC membership happy hours) is required. This position works under the supervision of – and collaborates closely with – the Communications and Marketing Director.

You’re adept at identifying opportunities to expand OEC’s reach, and bring new audiences into our movement. You have experience managing the quick-turnaround deliverables that advocacy work requires – while keeping long-term projects moving forward. You have a passion for creating positive change in Oregon.

Travel: This position requires infrequent travel around the state. OEC encourages travel by sustainable modes, e.g., walking, bicycling, taking transit, carpooling, but driving may be best suited for some trips. An OEC electric vehicle is available for staff use.
Work Schedule: Work hours are typically stable and within a standard 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM workday. However, this role may require the ability to periodically be flexible about one’s schedule and work hours. This role may occasionally require excess hours, and attendance at occasional evening and weekend events in order to achieve deliverables. OEC staff are currently working a hybrid schedule and most staff are expected to report, in person, to the office at least two days a week.
Physical: This job operates in a professional open-floor office environment with a moderate level of noise associated with personal conversations and office equipment. The employee must be able to see, hear and talk and have the physical ability to move around, lift light objects, and use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
