Ohio Women’s Alliance (OWA) is a power-building Reproductive Justice organization providing programming, resources, and education for women, gender-expansive people, and youth across Ohio. Our vision is an Ohio where all people can thrive—where women and gender-expansive people have the power to make decisions about their lives, their families, and their communities. Rooted in Reproductive Justice, our mission is to ensure access to safe communities, equitable education, holistic health care and wellness, inclusive democracy, and economic prosperity. This role will work across Ohio Women’s Alliance (a 501(c)(3)) and Ohio Women’s Alliance Action Fund (a 501(c)(4)), both nonprofit entities with intersecting yet separate missions.
Position Title: Communications & Data Manager
Reports To: Senior Director of Communications
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: The candidate must be based in central Ohio or willing to relocate with a potential relocation package. The position is remote and provides access to office space currently located in Columbus, Ohio. Occasional in-state travel is required for this position, including in-person work events, meetings, and other activities.
Position Summary
Ohio Women’s Alliance seeks a skilled, values-aligned communications and data manager to provide support to our Senior Director of Communications and the organization’s staff around programming aimed at making Reproductive Justice a reality in Ohio.
The ideal candidate will have managed communications at an advocacy organization and will excel at rapid-response and proactive communications planning, as well as campaigns, and will have experience with CRM and data management systems, such as EveryAction, to manage organizational data across programs. The Communications & Data Manager role will develop an understanding of Ohio’s Reproductive Justice landscape and will create and manage content that not only responds to current events but also engages a variety of audiences and supports OWA’s year-round programming. This candidate will be comfortable devising and executing communications plans, managing media relations, creating and managing editorial calendars, and writing and editing op-eds, blogs, press releases, statements, campaign materials, and social media content.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 and commensurate with experience. OWA is proud to offer eligible employees a robust benefits package, including 100% employer-paid medical, vision, and dental insurance plans, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a discretionary 4% employer contribution. Eligible employees receive additional fringe benefits, including the Doula & Reproductive Health Policy and 16 weeks of Extended Paid Leave. Eligible staff receive 22 days of paid time off and observe 13 holidays.
