    East Colfax Community Collective (EC3) is a community-driven, multicultural, socio-economically

    diverse advocacy organization comprised of residents, local businesses and nonprofits, and allies.

    Our mission is to fight displacement and build collective power in our community to shape our own

    destiny. Our vision is to be a multicultural community where low and moderate-income residents and

    locally-owned businesses can thrive.

    Position Summary:

    The Organizing Director will lead EC3’s organizing and advocacy efforts, building community power

    and advancing strategic campaigns. This role combines leadership, policy advocacy, membership

    growth, staff development, and coalition-building to ensure EC3’s campaigns reflect the priorities of

    the community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership & Campaigns

    • Lead the development and implementation of strategic campaigns at the local, state,

    and national level.

    • Convene and participate in coalitions and advocacy efforts to amplify community voices.
    • Represent EC3 in public forums, media, and collaborative initiatives, centering

    community priorities.

    Policy Advocacy

    • Track, analyze, and communicate legislation relevant to EC3 priorities.
    • Develop community-informed policy positions and coordinate advocacy campaigns.
    • Build relationships with elected officials, legislative staff, and advocacy partners.

    Membership Growth & Leadership Development

    • Grow EC3’s membership base and track engagement using internal systems (Every

    Action, Apricot).

    • Support members in taking leadership roles within campaigns and decision-making

    structures.

    • Identify and train emerging community leaders.

    Staff Supervision & Development

    • Mentor and supervise organizing staff, providing training, support, and accountability.
    • Train staff to independently manage campaigns they are owning, with an emphasis on

    leadership development and intentional recruitment of EC3 members to lead Steering

    Committees

    • Develop work plans, conduct check-ins, and oversee quarterly evaluations.
    • Support staff professional development and leadership growth.

    Fundraising & Base-Building

    • Lead grassroots fundraising membership campaigns, connecting membership

    engagement to organizational sustainability.

    • Support staff on executing EC3 fundraising strategies and community outreach.

    Internal Systems & Data Management

    • Oversee organizing-related data systems and ensure consistent tracking of campaigns

    and membership.

    • Use data to inform campaign planning, policy advocacy, and program improvement.

    Organizational Engagement

    • Participate in EC3-wide events, strategy sessions, and community actions.
    • Model EC3’s values of equity, solidarity, and collective power in all work.

    SALARY AND BENEFITS:

    • Starting salary of $75,500-$78,500 depending on proven experience in the field/role. You will

    be paid through direct deposit twice a month.

    • New employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision and Life insurance after one month.

    EC3 will contribute 95% toward the cost of the employee-only medical premium.

    • EC3 will contribute 50% of the employee-only Dental and Vision insurance premiums and

    100% of the Life insurance premium ($50K policy).

    • $50/month Phone Stipend.
    • Each month you will accrue 13.3 hours of vacation time you can use in coordination with prior

    approval from your supervisor for a total of 160 Hours of PTO in year one.

    • $100/month Health and Wellness allowance reimbursement. Eligible after completing the

    probationary period.

    $1000 per year HRA Benefit to help with medical expenses. Eligible after completing the

    probationary period.

    Working Conditions: Work is performed about half in an office setting and requires sitting for

    extended periods, and half out in the community traveling. As such, it may include walking,

    standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, climbing, balancing,

    stooping, and kneeling. Work also includes manual dexterity for typing/operating computer, holding,

    grasping, and turning objects. Work also requires the ability to speak and use unaided or aided

    vision or hearing. The office setting is located down a flight of stairs.
