At Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches, we don’t just deliver meals—we deliver connection, care, and dignity. We’re searching for a highly organized, people-driven Volunteer Coordinator who can keep our volunteer program running smoothly while building meaningful relationships along the way.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the go-to person making sure our volunteer program thrives and our meal deliveries run without a hitch:

• Recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers (including orientations and background checks)
• Coordinate daily volunteer schedules to ensure all delivery routes are covered
• Communicate regularly with volunteers to keep them engaged, informed, and supported
• Manage real-time scheduling and communication via our MOWPB mobile phone
• Step in to cover delivery routes when last-minute gaps arise
• Oversee volunteers during active delivery times to ensure smooth operations
• Lead outreach efforts and represent us at community recruitment presentations
• Respond to volunteer inquiries and incoming calls
• Maintain accurate records and reports using ServTracker database
• Assist with developing and updating volunteer policies and procedures
• Contribute content for social media and e-newsletters
• Help plan and execute volunteer events (on-site and off-site)
• Coordinate volunteer recognition efforts like birthdays and appreciation moments
• Support the Program Manager and team as needed
