About Primary Care for All Americans (PC4AA)

Primary Care for All Americans (PC4AA) is a national grassroots nonprofit movement committed to transforming health care by putting people before profit.

    www.primarycareforallamericans.org

Our mission is bold and simple:

➡️ Every American with a family doctor. Every community with great primary care.

We believe equitable access to primary care is essential to public health, cost reduction, and democracy itself. Through community organizing, state-level advocacy, and national coordination, we’re building a healthcare system that works for everyone.

We’re seeking our first Executive Director (ED) — a visionary, strategic, and entrepreneurial leader to guide PC4AA through its next stage of growth.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to build and scale a mission-driven nonprofit from the ground up. The ED will lead fundraising, operations, financial management, strategic partnerships, communications, and advocacy to expand access to primary care nationwide. If you’re a dynamic nonprofit executive, coalition builder, or social impact leader ready to grow a movement that improves lives, this role is for you.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction to PC4AA as it transitions to independent 501(c)(3) status
    • Lead all fundraising and development efforts, including donor cultivation, grant writing, and sponsorships
    • Oversee organizational operations, financial planning, and team management
    • Build and sustain partnerships with healthcare organizations, community groups, and policymakers
    • Serve as the public spokesperson for PC4AA, representing the mission of equitable, accessible primary care
    • Strengthen digital communications, member engagement, and grassroots advocacy efforts

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 5+ years of nonprofit leadership or executive management experience
    • Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor engagement, and grant writing
    • Strong financial, operational, and strategic planning skills
    • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
    • Proven ability to build partnerships and lead teams in a virtual environment

    Preferred:

    • Master’s degree in public health, nonprofit management, or a related field
    • CFRE certification or equivalent credential
    • Experience with coalition-building, healthcare advocacy, or grassroots movements

    Leadership Attributes

    • Strategic, resourceful, and mission-driven
    • Collaborative and transparent working style
    • Passionate about health equity, primary care, and social justice
    • Comfortable wearing many hats in a start-up nonprofit environment
