    Descripción

    The Program & Product Quality Specialist for National PTA’s Center for Family Engagement supports the implementation of programs and initiatives that engage families in supporting student success. The Specialist provides research, evaluation, and communication support to help create and update engaging and accessible resources on a variety of topics, including family-school partnerships, digital safety, mental wellbeing, arts education, STEM, and more. The Specialist also helps the Center for Family Engagement fully utilize technology and administrative tools to ensure streamlined operations across the Center’s projects, programs, and partnerships.

    Program and Product Design: Support updates and creation of program materials, written and multi-media resources, marketing collateral, and trainings. Conduct research and gather input to make data-driven recommendations for content development. Draft, review and revise resources for accuracy, clarity, and consistency with meticulous attention to detail.

    Data Analysis: Identify methods to gather and compile data to ensure useability. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and feedback from constituents to support design, continuous improvement, reporting, and storytelling. Coordinate and help conduct program observation and enhancements. Assist in creating and populating tools and infographics that document implementation and impact and recommend improvements.

    Technology and Communications: Support newsletter creation, PowerPoint presentations, website updates, video recording and editing, internal reporting, messaging, and IT integration for the team. Utilize and coach the team on a variety of technology platforms to help create and disseminate resources and provide programmatic technical assistance.

    Administration & Project Management: Coordinate logistics, take notes, and ensure timely follow-up for meetings and events. Track, compile, and update materials and organizational tools with precision. Organize and maintain files, records, and data. Prioritize workflow, track and report progress, and ensure project completion with exceptional quality.

    Fostering Positive Culture: Create and support a positive team culture and contribute to organizational initiatives. Work within and across departments to provide and disseminate program information. Support team in providing timely and accurate communication to a variety of constituents.

    Requirements

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
    • 3+ years of professional experience, preferably with an education nonprofit/association
    • 2+ yrs of professional experience analyzing and summarizing data/information and/or conducting research to inform program or product design, improvements and implementation as a predominant function of their job
    • Passionate about the power of parents as partners and advocates for children’s success.
    • Excellent at organizing and manipulating programmatic and training information with technology (e.g., Microsoft Excel, MaxQDA, SPSS or SAS, etc.) and able to connect disparate datasets (Submittable, SurveyMonkey, GoogleForms, CRM, etc.) into coherent learning and reporting systems.
    • Able to use advanced functionalities in Zoom and other multi-media tools to improve audience engagement with content.
    • Skilled at identifying and ensuring consistency in programmatic details across multiple resources and platforms, including website updates.
    • Able to branch content for different program participants, assess audience engagement, and coordinate recipient lists for e-newsletters and other communications
    • Superb verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to produce error-free analysis and work products with minimal oversight.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Computer and technology savvy; able to easily learn new technologies to improve efficiency and quality and coach others on how to maximize their use.
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. Experience working in cross-departmental contexts a plus.
    • Asks questions, seeks feedback, and communicates pro-actively.
    • Motivated to learn and continuously improve.
    • Strong work ethic, self-starter, sense of integrity, and judgment.
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and skills/experience/knowledge contributing to an inclusive working and/or learning environment.
    • Data visualization and/or creative design experience a plus.
    • Survey, focus group, and other instrument design experience a plus.
    • Experience with database administration a plus.
    • Proficiency in Spanish a plus.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Professional office environment in Alexandria, Virginia, currently hybrid with at least two days per week in-office.
    • The position will require occasional travel and evening and weekend work.
    • Incumbent uses standard office equipment including computers, phones, etc.
    • This is a largely sedentary role and may require the ability to lift files, packages, and related materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
