    Job Summary

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven professional to serve as our Marketing and Community Engagement Manager. This is a fast-paced, highly active role designed for a "doer" who thrives on a packed schedule split between in-office operations and community-facing relationship building across the South Metro Denver region.

You will serve as the primary ambassador and driving force of our nonprofit. You will be actively pitching partnerships at local business events, securing sponsorships, and running our internal marketing engine. While a volunteer will handle the actual mechanics of scheduling and publishing social media posts, you will be the core operator managing our donor communications, designing materials, and maintaining our database.

Active Community Networking & Business Development (50%)

    • Visible Community Representation: Serve as our prominent brand ambassador by maintaining mandatory, weekly attendance at a specific 1.5-hour local networking group.
    • Chamber & Civic Engagement: Actively participate in 1–2 South Metro Denver Chamber events each month (covering Centennial, Highlands Ranch, and surrounding areas) to expand our local footprint.
    • Sponsorship & Donor Acquisition: Confidently make direct phone calls and send tailored pitches to local business owners, corporate sponsors, and individual donors to secure financial support and partnerships.
    • Relationship Management: Work the room at civic events to source new corporate partners, turning initial handshakes into active organizational supporters.

    In-Office Marketing Operations & Execution (50%)

    • Marketing Design & Content Creation: Utilize design tools (like Canva or Adobe) to create high-quality marketing collateral, print flyers, media kits, and promotional materials.
    • Email Campaigns & Correspondence: Build, execute, and track outgoing marketing emails and newsletters, and promptly manage all incoming inquiries and responses from the community.
    • CRM Database Management: Maintain, clean, and strategically update our CRM database to ensure accurate tracking of donor relationships, networking leads, and touchpoints.
    • Digital Storytelling & Volunteer Direction: Extract powerful human-interest stories from our programs to craft compelling copy. You will feed these raw stories and media to a volunteer who handles the day-to-day posting on Instagram and other social channels.

Top 5 Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Community Engagement: High interpersonal stamina; loves meeting new people, navigating crowded business mixers, and building rapid rapport with Metro Denver leaders.
    • Marketing Execution: Proven experience designing professional marketing materials and writing persuasive, action-oriented copy for email campaigns.
    • Communication: Highly articulate in both verbal pitching and written storytelling, with the ability to captivate local business leaders and existing and potential donors and sponsors.
    • Business Development & Inside Sales: Comfortable picking up the phone to pitch sponsors, follow up on leads, and confidently "make the ask" for financial or programmatic support.
    • Strategy, Planning & Tech Savvy: A self-motivated organizer who is highly proficient in managing CRM databases, email marketing platforms, and a busy community calendar. Familiarity with Bloomerang and Constant Contact is a plus.

    Position Details & Commitments

    • Weekly Networking Requirement: Absolute mandatory attendance at a specific 1.5-hour networking meeting every week
    • Other Monthly Meeting Commitments: Regular attendance at 1–2 local marketing mixers, breakfasts, or evening events per month (requires occasional early morning or after-hours flexibility in the Centennial/Highlands Ranch area).
    • Work Environment: This role requires a dynamic physical presence for networking and occasional key office meetings, though heads-down tasks (like CRM updating or design work) offer hybrid/virtual flexibility.
