    About Multiplier:

Multiplier’s mission is to accelerate impact for initiatives focused on protecting and fostering a healthy, sustainable, resilient, and equitable world. Growing threats to our planet and its people require holistic solutions, both locally and globally. The projects in our portfolio span a broad array of cross-sector strategies in land and ocean conservation, public health, education and leadership, economic development, clean energy, climate resilience, sustainable food systems, energy efficiency, social and environmental equity, and more.

    Position Summary:

The Senior Grants Manager plays a vital role in the stewardship of a significant $100M+ portfolio of incoming and outgoing grants. The position coordinates the full grant lifecycle from proposal review and submission to funder relationship management, reporting, and grant closeout. The Senior Grants Manager also manages all grantmaking, including internationally. This role will be pivotal in ensuring consistency across all grant-related activities of the organization. Additionally, the Senior Grants Manager supports the Director of Grants Stewardship in ensuring excellence in Multiplier’s grants lifecycle management and capability for continued portfolio growth.

    KEY ACCELERATOR ROLES:

    • Support strong stewardship of grant funding as the primary source of revenue to advance Multiplier project missions and impact.
    • Serve as a grantmaking and equity practice partner in designing and implementing trust-based, equitable, and values-driven domestic and international grantmaking.
    • Own grants operations and systems through the maintenance and upgrade of the grants management system, focused on data integrity, workflows, and process improvement.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Grants Stewardship Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the review, finalization, and submission of grant proposals and letters of inquiry in collaboration with project teams, while stewarding communications and key stakeholder involvement.
    • Coordinate the review and execution of grant award documents and monitor compliance with grant terms and conditions.
    • Maintain funder reporting schedules and manage the timely fulfillment of grant reporting requirements.
    • Develop and sustain positive working relationships and communications with funders.

    Grantmaking Responsibilities

    • Partner with the Director of Grants Stewardship and key stakeholders to design, implement, and operationalize transformative practices that build trust and redefine the power balance between grantors and grantees.
    • Partner with the Director of Grants Stewardship and key stakeholders on identifying, synthesizing, and applying relevant resources and subject matter expertise to advance equity-centered, values-driven grantmaking.
    • Coordinate with project team members on planning and initiating grantmaking cycles, including building out proposal submission and review portals.
    • Collect and review due diligence documentation from both domestic and international grantees to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
    • Draft, finalize, and coordinate execution of grant agreements and disbursement of grant funds.
    • Manage timely follow-up and review of grantee reporting.

    Grants Operations Responsibilities

    • Ensure that the grants database is up-to-date with the latest information on funders, grants, deadlines, and reporting requirements, and ensure that data is entered in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Act as the primary liaison for grants management system upgrades, coordinate data migration efforts, and partner across teams to design and implement new system workflows.
    • Work closely with the Director of Grants Stewardship to develop, improve, and maintain internal processes and controls related to proposals, grants, and grantmaking lifecycles.
    • Create, maintain, and deploy branded templates for all grant-related documents and ensure proper and consistent usage.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen internal systems and processes to enhance the team workflow and cohesion, including optimizing data management, building advanced workflows and automations, and providing grants system management support.

    The Ideal Candidate:

You love living at the sweet spot where strategy, systems, and equity meet. You’re the kind of grants professional who genuinely enjoys managing complex, high-value portfolios and building strong, trusting relationships along the way. You thrive in dynamic, mission-driven environments, and are courageous, curious, and compassionate. You are energized by values-driven, trust-based philanthropy and excited by the opportunity to help turn equitable grantmaking ideals into real, day-to-day practice.

You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-described data nerd. You care deeply about people and planet. You bring a thoughtful, partnership-first approach to compliance and due diligence, paired with a love for clean systems, smart workflows, and well-run processes. You’re a strong project manager, a clear communicator, and are motivated by impact. You see excellent grants stewardship and operations not as background work, but as essential infrastructure for advancing bold missions and supporting meaningful change.

    Specific Experience Requested:

We recognize that each applicant for this role will bring unique skills, knowledge, experiences, and background to the Senior Grants Manager position. We welcome diverse experiences and perspectives in our applicant pool, and will be looking for candidates who possess many, but not necessarily all, of the following qualifications and experience:
