Studio in a School (Studio) is seeking an experienced, creative, and collaborative Marketing and Communications Manager with an interest in arts education to join our team. As the primary contact for marketing and communications efforts for Studio's internship programs, the Marketing and Communications Manager will work collaboratively with the development and marketing team to develop and implement strategies that promote Studio’s mission, programs, and services. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of the visual arts and possess strong writing, graphic design, and project management skills.
This is a full-time, exempt, non-union position, reporting to the Chief Development Officer.

and creative development for young people both in and outside of schools.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Brand Management
- Collaborate to develop and execute marketing and communications plans aligned with Studio's strategic goals.
- Serve as the primary contact for all marketing and communications efforts related to Studio's internship programs, including Arts Intern, Bloomberg Arts Internships, Teen Apprenticeship Program, and Studio Intensives.
- Oversee design and production of written and visual materials for internship programs and other organizational needs.
- Work with the development and marketing team, program staff, and consultants to ensure that Studio-branded materials maintain consistent visual and conceptual identity.
- Track, monitor, and share marketing metrics to evaluate effectiveness and inform future marketing strategies.
- Cultivate relationships with program partners and other external stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and reach.
Communications and Content Development
- Lead in the creation and production of internal and external marketing communications materials for internship programs and other programs, and their constituents.
- Collaborate with internal teams to write, edit, and design marketing collateral for internship programs.
- Collaborate to oversee website development and management for internship programs.
- Write, edit, and design content for Studio’s website, including news articles, program landing pages, and other digital content, such as social media graphics.
- Create diverse printed and digital materials, including brochures, signage, exhibition invitations, flyers, postcards, annual reports, presentations, and other materials.
Project Management and Administrative Support
- Manage multiple marketing and communications projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
- Attend program, networking and community events to support Studio's visibility.
- Support event planning and execution for program-related events as needed.
- Other duties and ad-hoc projects assigned.
Desired Skills and Background
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the nonprofit or arts education sector.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience using graphic design software (Adobe InDesign or Canva) and digital assets management systems (MediaValet).
- Experience with content management (WordPress) and analytics systems (Google Analytics), email marketing (Constant Contact) and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Experience using Google Workspace tools and Microsoft 365 applications.

Location
- We are currently working on a hybrid schedule. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be asked to work at least 2 days per week in our office at 75 West End Ave, New York, though this schedule may shift and evolve.
Hours
- As a member of the administrative staff, the Marketing and Communications Manager is expected to work from 9 AM to 5 PM each workday. Any schedule shift request must be requested in advance and receive approval from the supervisor. Flexibility to support programs and events outside of regular work hours.

Salary
- The annual salary range for this full-time position is $75,000-$79,000. We welcome an open discussion with interested candidates about the full compensation package.
