    The Clayton County Public Schools Foundation (CCPSF) is a philanthropic organization dedicated to

    nurturing the growth and development of the students of Clayton County Public Schools.

    Through strategic partnerships, scholarships, and community-driven programs, we strive to create a

    continuum of success—fostering sustainable growth, development, and academic achievement for

    every student in our community.

    The Foundation supports more than 50,000 students across 68+ schools and proudly serves as a partner

    to the sixth-largest school district in Georgia.

    Summary:

    The President of the Clayton County Public Schools Foundation (CCPSF) and CCPS Convocation Center

    will lead one of Georgia’s most dynamic and purpose-driven educational foundations—supporting the

    entire Clayton County Public School system. This role offers the rare opportunity to shape both

    philanthropic and operational excellence by managing the Foundation’s strategic growth and overseeing

    a state-of-the-art Convocation Center featuring an 8,000-seat arena and a Junior Achievement Discovery

    Center sponsored by Delta.

    Reporting directly to the Chairman and Board of Directors, the President serves as the chief executive

    leader responsible for advancing the Foundation’s mission and maximizing the impact of its programs,

    partnerships, and facilities. The President provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for

    both the Foundation and the Convocation Center, blending visionary leadership with hands-on

    execution to drive sustainable growth, educational opportunity, and community engagement across the

    district.

    As a bridge-builder and community champion, the President will foster trust and collaboration among

    educators, Board of Education members, faculty, business leaders, families, and civic partners. Through

    programs that strengthen literacy, teacher support, student enrichment, and early workforce

    development, this leader will help create a continuum of success—from classroom to career.

    At its core, this position is about mobilizing people, partnerships, and resources to ensure every student

    in Clayton County has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Strategic Leadership & Organizational Management

     Serve as the chief executive of the Foundation and Convocation Center, reporting to the

    Chairman and Board of Directors.

     Lead strategic planning, annual goal setting, and execution of multi-year priorities aligned with

    district and community needs.

     Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and collaboration across staff,

    operators, and key partners.

     Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

     Ensure compliance with all nonprofits, legal, and governance standards.

     Drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective change

    management, adoption, and measurable impact.

     Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on delivery excellence and

    operational impact.

    Fundraising, Partnerships & Resource Development

     Lead all fundraising, development, and donor engagement initiatives, including annual giving,

    major gifts, capital campaigns, and planned giving.

     Cultivate relationships with corporate sponsors, foundations, alumni, and individual donors.

     Partner with the Board to drive engagement and philanthropy across the community.

     Oversee the pursuit and management of grants, naming rights, and strategic sponsorships for

    both the Foundation and Convocation Center.

    Convocation Center Oversight

     Provide executive oversight for the CCPS Convocation Center, ensuring operational excellence

    and community impact.

     Manage the performance of the facility operator and partnerships with athletics and community

    organizations.

     Lead efforts to secure naming rights, sponsorships, and event partnerships that strengthen

    financial sustainability and community visibility.

     Promote the Center as a hub for education, celebration, and civic engagement.

    Financial Stewardship & Governance

     Partner with the accounting firm, legal counsel, and Board Treasurer to maintain sound financial

    practices and compliance.

     Prepare and manage the annual operating budget; provide transparent reporting to the Board

    and stakeholders.

     Lead risk management, audit, and compliance functions to ensure the organization’s financial

    and reputational health.

     Provide Quarterly report out for the BOE during planning sessions.

    Public Relations, Marketing & Advocacy

     Serve as the primary ambassador for the Foundation and Convocation Center, representing both

    organizations with integrity and passion.

     Lead public relations, marketing, and communications strategies to increase awareness and

    engagement.

     Collaborate with the CCPS Communications Department to highlight student success stories,

    programs, and events.

     Strengthen relationships with community, business, and civic leaders to advance educational

    equity and opportunity.

    People & Culture Leadership

     Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team of staff and contractors.

     Create a positive, mission-driven workplace that values collaboration, creativity, and

    accountability.

     Engage and manage volunteers and committees, recognizing their essential contributions to the

    organization’s success.

    Qualifications

     Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nonprofit Management, Education Leadership, Public

    Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.

     5–7 years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in nonprofit management, education

    foundations, or philanthropy.

     Proven success in fundraising, partnership development, and strategic planning.

     Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing budgets and vendor relationships.

     Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

     Familiarity with the Clayton County community and its educational landscape is highly valued.

    Work Environment

    This is a full-time, executive leadership position based in Clayton County, Georgia, requiring regular

    interaction with school district leaders, educators, community partners, business leaders, and the public.

    The position operates in a professional office setting and within school and community environments as

    needed. Occasional evening and weekend events are expected as part of Foundation and Convocation

    Center activities.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expertise in:

     Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

     CRM and donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Bloomerang, or similar)

     Virtual collaboration platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams)

     Financial or reporting tools relevant to nonprofit management Microsoft Office, CRM,

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Professional certification in nonprofit management, fundraising, or leadership (e.g., CFRE, CNM, or

    equivalent) preferred.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, exempt position. Standard hours of work

    are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility for evenings, weekends, or special

    events as required by organizational activities or community engagements.

    Overnight Travel Occasional overnight or in-state travel may be required to attend meetings,

    conferences, donor visits, or partner engagements.
