    We are seeking two Associate Program Officers to join Arcora Foundation and support our work to improve equitable access to oral health care. These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to either our Access or Prevention portfolios—depending on each candidate’s background, interests, and the evolving needs of the team.

    Potential areas of focus may include:

    • Access: This position is based out of our Seattle office and focuses on initiatives like Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD), MouthMatters, and other efforts to expand access to care through community engagement, system transformation, and advocacy.
    • Prevention: This position can be based out of either our Seattle or Spokane office. It involves initiatives like Healthy Behaviors and Local Impact Networks, supporting community-informed grantmaking, and partnerships that promote healthier behaviors and environments.

    These are collaborative, team-oriented roles ideal for individuals eager to learn, build relationships, actively listen, ask questions, and contribute to strategy development and implementation. Specific responsibilities will be shaped by the selected focus area(s) and may evolve over time as our programs and partnerships grow.

    The pay range for this position in Western Washington varies between $60,435.00 – $84,533.00, and for Eastern Washington varies between $56,145.00 - $78,532.00. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza Corp. intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

    Shared responsibilities include:

    • Track progress toward defined goals and metrics.
    • Support the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies across initiatives.
    • Represent the Foundation to external audiences, including community-based organizations, networks, agencies, and other stakeholders.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations that reflect program goals and community impact.
    • Participate in community meetings, networks, and coalitions.
    • Facilitate conversations to build trust, foster collaboration, and share knowledge.
    • Pursue collaboration opportunities that ensure community needs remain central to solutions.
    • Help plan, coordinate, and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events.
    • Ensure event logistics, including venue selection and accessibility, support inclusive participation.
    • Contribute to creating welcoming environments where all voices are heard.

    In addition to the shared responsibilities, the Associate Program Officer supporting Access will focus on:

    • Contribute to initiatives such as Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD), MouthMatters, and other efforts to expand access to care.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement strategies that increase oral health services in underserved communities.
    • Implement process and quality improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce barriers to care.
    • Assist with contract management and reporting, including drafting and synthesizing access-related project reports.
    • Support outreach efforts that advance equitable access to oral health care.
    • Engage directly with providers, state agencies, and community organizations to elevate community voices and align initiatives with shared goals.
    • Facilitate educational events focused on expanding access and engaging diverse audiences.
    • Support community participation and input into access-related programming.

    In addition to the shared responsibilities, the Associate Program Officer supporting Prevention will focus on:

    • Contribute to initiatives such as Healthy Behaviors and Local Impact Networks.
    • Work collaboratively with internal teams and community partners to eliminate oral health disparities through community-led solutions.
    • Provide day-to-day management of the Healthy Behaviors portfolio, serving as the main point of contact for grantees and contractors.
    • Draft scopes of work, manage grant deliverables, and synthesize reports and learning from funded initiatives.
    • Serve as a connector and resource for community organizations, encouraging relationship-building across sectors and geographies.
    • Highlight and amplify community strengths, learnings, and successes.
    • Coordinate and participate in events that celebrate community-led impact and knowledge-sharing.
    • Ensure events reflect community voices and build momentum for prevention-focused efforts.

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and information both verbally and in writing, ensuring effective collaboration and understanding.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently, ensuring the successful execution and completion of projects with minimal direction.
    • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team to build local support for program and portfolio goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Ability to identify intersections with other Foundation activities and engage team members to elevate collective impact.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and deepen relationships with tact and professionalism, working effectively and respectfully with diverse individuals and communities across various political, ideological, cultural, and geographical backgrounds.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and information both verbally and in writing, ensuring effective collaboration and understanding.
    • Demonstrated ability to apply diversity, equity, and inclusion practices successfully.
    • Strong skills in summarizing and synthesizing information from multiple sources to present clear and actionable insights.

    • A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or 4 years of relevant experience with demonstrated growth in responsibilities is required.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Access: Ability to travel statewide in Washington approximately 25%–50% of the time, which will often require use of a personal vehicle.
    • Prevention: Ability to travel statewide in Washington up to 15% of the time, which will often require use of a personal vehicle.
