Position Overview
CIDA is seeking a highly organized, accountable, and proactive Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery across the organization.
This role is critical to strengthening internal systems, managing staff performance, and building a professional and efficient work environment. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and directly supervise program leads and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities: Operations & Team Management
- Oversee daily operations across Family Services and Workforce Development programs
- Supervise program leads and administrative staff
- Ensure clear communication, coordination, and accountability across teams
- Monitor program implementation to ensure consistency and quality
Human Resources & Staff Management
- Enforce organizational standards for professionalism, communication, and performance
- Conduct regular staff check-ins and performance evaluations
- Address performance issues promptly and implement corrective actions
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
- Maintain staff schedules, role clarity, and workflow alignment
- Foster a professional, respectful, and accountable workplace culture
Financial Oversight & Coordination
- Monitor program budgets and track expenditures against approved budgets
- Review and approve expenses for accuracy, proper coding, and compliance
- Oversee transaction coding in QuickBooks (e.g., expense categorization, program allocation)
- Coordinate with external accountant/bookkeeper for reconciliation and financial reporting
- Support grant budget tracking and reporting requirements
- Ensure proper documentation and internal controls for financial activities
Systems & Process Improvement
- Develop and improve workflows for scheduling, reporting, and documentation
- Ensure accurate and timely data management (e.g., client records, program tracking systems)
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical solutions
- Establish and maintain clear reporting systems across teams
Administrative Oversight
- Oversee administrative functions including scheduling, communications, and data systems
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements
- Maintain organized and efficient office operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, program management, or nonprofit administration
- Candidates with demonstrated equivalent experience will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and enforce accountability
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with budgeting, financial tracking, or QuickBooks preferred
- Experience in nonprofit or community-based settings preferred
