Role Overview:

The Fundraising Lead will spearhead NavGurukul’s fundraising efforts, ensuring sustained and scalable funding for our campuses and programs. This role requires a visionary leader who can engage with foundations, CSR teams, and philanthropists, while also identifying and securing grants. As the face of NavGurukul in external forums, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our financial sustainability and enabling thousands of young people to access life-changing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute NavGurukul’s fundraising strategy to meet annual and long-term financial goals.
• Build, nurture, and expand relationships with foundations, CSR teams, HNIs, and philanthropists.
• Identify, assess, and apply for grants aligned with NavGurukul’s mission and programs.
• Represent NavGurukul at events, conferences, and forums, positioning the organization as a credible and impactful partner.
• Design systems and processes for fundraising outreach, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
• Negotiate funding agreements that balance donor priorities with NavGurukul’s mission needs.
• Mentor and guide the fundraising team, setting clear targets, coaching regularly, and driving accountability.
• Collaborate with program, finance, and communications teams to align fundraising with organizational priorities and reporting needs.
• Use data and insights to refine fundraising strategy, track donor engagement, and ensure long-term sustainability.

Desired Qualifications/Experience

• 10+ years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, or outreach — fundraising experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of raising significant funds for education, skilling, or social impact initiatives.
• Strong network within foundations, CSR, and philanthropic ecosystems.
• Excellent communication, proposal writing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Comfort working in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment, with ability to build systems and processes from scratch.
