    About Give an Hour

Give an Hour is a nonprofit organization committed to transforming mental health care by providing access to free, quality mental health support and services to individuals in need. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has the resources and opportunities to take charge of their mental health journey. We achieve this through innovative programs, community partnerships, and empowering individuals to promote self-care, self-awareness, and self-advocacy.

    Position Overview

The Manager, Data Evaluation and Insights is a mission-critical role responsible for transforming data into actionable learning that informs Give an Hour’s mental health programs, partnerships, and community initiatives. This position blends evaluation design, applied research, customer centered data strategy, and systems management, supporting everything from grant deliverables and strategic decision-making to training outcomes and real-time performance dashboards.

As GAH’s lead evaluator, this role designs scalable measurement tools, synthesizes insights across diverse programmatic areas, and collaborates with the internal team and external stakeholders to improve outcomes for clients, providers, partners, and participants.

The scope includes managing day-to-day implementation of GAH’s data and evaluation infrastructure, while also advancing insight generation across the full customer journey, whether as a program participant, wellness ambassador, peer supporter, mental health professional, or training attendee.

Acting as a crucial link between service delivery and participant experience, this role embodies GAH’s commitment to customer satisfaction and strategic learning. With humility and curiosity, the Manager will use data to elevate lived experience, guide continuous improvement, and ensure that GAH’s work remains responsive, relevant, and transformative.

    Key Responsibilities

    Evaluation & Learning Design

    • Co-develop logic models, theory of change documents, and outcome frameworks across core programs.
    • Design and refine pre-, post-, and longitudinal evaluation tools tied to program learning objectives (e.g., 30/60/90-day follow-up, burnout indicators, post-training application).
    • Implement mixed-method approaches, including surveys, qualitative interviews, and focus groups as needed.

    Organizational Performance & Insight Generation

    • Lead internal data analysis projects tied to strategic questions from staff (e.g., provider conversion rates, training reach, drop-off points, cultural responsiveness tracking).
    • Develop and maintain dashboards that support real-time decision-making across teams, while identifying trends and outliers.

    System Stewardship & Infrastructure Management

    • Maintain Qualtrics survey infrastructure and dashboards; support integration with Salesforce, Monday.com, and other systems.
    • Serve as project manager for Salesforce improvements.

    Staff Capacity Building & Reporting

    • Train staff on how to use, interpret, and act on data tools, especially in the context of grant reporting, storytelling, segmentation, or continuous improvement.
    • Co-create and lead GAH’s internal “data journey” roadmap, based on the staff-sourced data needs, and track progress against capacity and usage benchmarks.

    Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Join early planning meetings for new programs and partnerships to co-design evaluation plans and data collection tools.
    • Work closely with communications and design to translate insights into public-facing impact language and visuals.

    Key Qualifications

    • Minimum 3–5 years in program evaluation, nonprofit measurement, applied research, or analytics
    • Experience designing and analyzing surveys using Qualtrics or a comparable platform
    • Familiarity with Salesforce and comfort working with external admins or developers
    • Experience building dashboards or using visualization tools (Excel, Google Data Studio, Power BI, etc.)
    • Demonstrated ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into usable insights
    • Experience working with diverse populations, including survivors of trauma or military, and veteran communities.
    • Background in mental health, public health, community development, or a related field is a plus

    Ideal Candidate Attributes

    • Curious and insight-driven, not just data-driven
    • Able to bridge technical and non-technical conversations with clarity
    • Comfortable working with imperfect data while building systems that improve it
    • Strong communicator who values iteration, equity, and accessibility in evaluation
    • Able to combine strategic thinking with tactical application
    • Values a customer-centric environment
    • Enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a highly collaborative small team
    • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback openly

    Salary and Benefits

    • $60,000 annual salary
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance options
    • 403(b) with 2% vested match
    • Generous PTO (6 weeks), 11 federal holidays, 2 floating holidays
    • Parental leave, EAP, technology stipend
    • Remote work with occasional travel or meetings outside the home office (15%)
