    Organization Description:

    Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to thousands of children with serious illnesses and their families annually – all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn, in dozens of hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities and through other outreach activities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

    Salary Range:

    $65,000-$70,000 annually

    Position Description:

    Creates, edits and manages photo and video media assets for use in Camp communications, events and other platforms under the guidance of the Director of Communications.

    Our Visual Media Manager can expect to…

    • Photograph, film, and edit media content related to Camp programs, development events, and other important organizational activities.
    • Create & edit videos to enhance organizational storytelling, and support special events, development activities, camper recruitment, staff training, programs, archival needs and other approved purposes, including campers and key constituent interviews.
    • Work with Communications team to integrate media content into print, digital and other platforms.
    • Work with Communications team to ensure consistent articulation of Camp's image and message throughout the organization across all media platforms and to all constituencies, both internal and external.
    • Proactively determine innovative ways to use video, photo, and other media assets to support Camp's organizational goals; present ideas to senior management and produce materials as approved.
    • Manage an archival system for all media assets, ensuring that materials are preserved, secured, indexed and digitized so as to be accessible for development, public relations, and other purposes.
    • Oversee theater technical support, internal media-related workshops, and third-party access to Camp media.
    • Develop and manage relationships with media-related freelancers, volunteers, companies, and donors.
    • Manage seasonal media specialist team.
    • Film training programs, maintain a training library, and coordinate the loaning of training materials.
    • Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

    Our Visual Media Manager should have…

    • Minimum three years' experience in photography, videography and producing associated content.
    • The ability to establish positive relationships with a variety of people in multicultural environments.
    • Solid digital video and still photography knowledge including asset management.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as various design and multimedia technologies and software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, DSLR cameras, digital video cameras, Photoshop, After Effects, Motion, and AI Video Apps).
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • The ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions.
    • The ability to operate computer for extended periods with appropriate breaks.
    • A valid Driver's license and driving record which meets HITWG insurance carrier requirements.
    • The ability to lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
