    Mentoring Program Facilitator (Lead Mentor- 2 positions)

    The Lead Mentor will work out of an assigned middle school, supporting approximately 50 middle-school aged youth (Littles) through facilitating both group and individual mentoring sessions. The Lead Mentor serves as a positive role model and supports Littles with setting goals, builds their social and emotional skills, as well as their self-confidence and creates a sense of belonging. This position requires weekday travel to the assigned school in Philadelphia.

    Lead Mentors work according to the School District of Philadelphia calendar and the hours of their placement. Non-site based works is assigned during the summer.

    Candidates with a strong connection to the community that BBBSI serves are given preferential consideration. Occasional travel to community partners, events, and conferences is required, as is very limited night and weekend work.

    Mentoring Program Manager (Manager- 1 position)

    Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBSI) is seeking a Program Manager to lead POWER Up—our in-school mentoring model based at Benjamin Franklin Elementary. This position is responsible for supervising and coaching a team of Lead Mentors, each supporting up to 50 middle school students through one-on-one and group mentoring. The Manager will oversee day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality delivery, with a focus on fostering the positive development and success of participating youth.
