    Descripción

If you're passionate about elevating resident voices and building authentic community power, keep reading. If you thrive on creating meaningful connections, organizing engaging events, and translating community vision into action, you are in the right place.

    Role Summary

We're looking for a dynamic community organizer and communicator to serve as the bridge between residents and the Campbellton Road Corridor Initiative. In this role, you'll spearhead the development and management of community programs designed to foster connection and engagement—from working group meetings and anti-displacement campaigns to community BBQs and resident-led planning sessions.

You'll have the opportunity to engage with diverse stakeholders, implement creative solutions, and bring your ideas to life in an energetic and forward-thinking environment. Your passion and problem-solving skills will be at the forefront as you drive community change. Our goal is to convene partners and resources while ensuring that neighborhood residents are centered in setting the strategy to bring the community's vision to life.

This position works closely with the Program Manager to design and implement community outreach and engagement strategies, lead inclusive engagement efforts that elevate the resident voice, and maintain clear communication loops between residents, partners, and city agencies to build trust and guide decisions.

    About the Employer

Medici Road is a nonprofit, community development corporation that addresses the intersection of poverty and race. Our mission is to reduce poverty by creating education, housing, and public health solutions that uproot systemic racial inequities. We serve and advocate for low- and middle-income urban communities, especially people of color and other historically underserved groups.

Our point of differentiation is that we provide long-term solutions that connect multiple sectors including education, housing, public health, and real estate investment from a systemic point of view. Our distinctive approach leverages community co-creation, data analysis, and human-centered design to create solutions in the form of products, programs, and policies.

With an embedded presence along the Campbellton Road corridor, our team is uniquely positioned to lead equitable development grounded in measurable outcomes, strategic collaboration, and long-term sustainability.

You're a great fit for this role if you:

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Urban Planning, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field
    • Have 2-3 years of experience in community program coordination, community organizing, or a similar role
