Our mission at CFPA is to help all people live free from violence and abuse, and our Director of Grants Administration is essential in bringing that mission to life.

The Director of Grants Administration is responsible for researching grant opportunities, preparing grant applications, administering grant activities, and monitoring grant compliance.

The Director of Grants Administration coordinates the planning and preparation of grant proposals for one or more departments, provides guidance and assistance to CFPA staff and Board in the interpretation of funding agency regulations and requirements, and serves as a liaison between CFPA staff, granting agencies, and CFPA finance department in the preparation of grant proposals.

The Director of Grants Administration prepares and compiles all components of each grant submission, ensuring that the proposal is formatted, packaged, and submitted in accordance with funding agency requirements, develops and maintains specialized databases and systems for recording and tracking grant proposals, awards, reports, and related statistical information and creates and distributes standard and special reports, summaries, and analyses, as required.

Primary responsibilities also include providing supervision to assigned CFPA staff, developing and maintaining a digital library of reference documentation, including such information as funding agency requirements and forms, reference literature, and other pertinent material as well as providing advice and guidance to CFPA staff on the application of grant funding policies, regulations, and procedure and facilitating and supporting the research and identification of funding opportunities on behalf of CFPA, as appropriate.

The Director of Grants Administration also monitors and coordinates the administration of post-award grants to ensure that budgeting and administrative policies, procedures, and funding agency requirements are being followed and manages administrative problems and/or coordinates with CFPA’s finance department budget changes occurring during the awarded granting period.

A bachelor’s degree in program management, grants management, counseling or other relevant field of study is preferred. A minimum of three years of grant proposal writing and research experience is also preferred.

At CFPA, we believe everyone deserves peace – every day, everywhere, any time – at home, in the workplace, at school and out in the community. A pioneer in providing services to victims of violence, CFPA has grown from a single rape crisis hotline that started in 1975 to a highly respected statewide leader in working to end abuse and break the cycle of generational violence. CFPA is the only agency in the entire state sanctioned to provide its combined services of Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse/Assault, Human Trafficking, Adult Protective Services, and Prevention Education under one roof. CFPA operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and all victim services are free and confidential.

CFPA is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including transgender status, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age, or on an individual with a disability or class of individuals with disabilities in its policies or procedures.
