    Status: Full-Time | Hybrid (AM Remote Admin + PM Onsite Instruction)

    Reports to: Associate Director of Learning & Career Development

    Direct Reports: ELA/Writing Coordinator, Math/Science Coordinator, Teen Learning & Enrichment Coordinator

    Position Summary

    The Educational Services Lead is a key leader within APCH’s Learning & Career Development department. This role oversees academic programs, supports instructional staff, and ensures strong alignment across after-school educational services.

    This is a hands-on leadership role that includes direct classroom facilitation, team supervision, program coordination, and cross-department collaboration. The ideal candidate brings both supervisory and instructional experience, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for supporting youth from elementary through college.

    This role offers a hybrid structure during the school year, allowing for remote administrative work in the mornings and onsite instructional leadership in the afternoons. Summer programming is fully onsite and highly collaborative.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Leadership & Instruction

    • Provide daily leadership to the Educational Services team, ensuring program quality, alignment, and effective communication.
    • Facilitate engaging, culturally responsive classroom instruction for members.
    • Oversee academic enrichment programming in ELA, math, science, and homework support.
    • Ensure lesson planning, curriculum alignment, and classroom observations support high-quality instructional practice.
    • Maintain a positive, safe, and accountable learning environment aligned with APCH’s mission.

    Member Success & Academic Support

    • Track key academic metrics, including attendance, retention, and performance benchmarks.
    • Identify members in need of academic intervention and collaborate on individualized support plans.
    • Analyze academic data and use insights to continuously improve programming.
    • Incorporate member feedback to keep programming responsive and relevant.

    Cross-Department Collaboration & Partnerships

    • Partner with local schools and community organizations to support member progress and expand academic resources.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with parents and guardians about member progress.
    • Collaborate with Workforce Readiness, Higher Education & Alumni, Mentoring, Athletics, and Arts programs to support members holistically.

    Administration & Operations

    • Assist with departmental budgeting, purchasing, and reporting.
    • Oversee accurate data entry related to attendance, engagement, and academic progress.
    • Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and professional development of staff, interns, and volunteers.
    • Manage APCH Library initiatives and literacy-focused events.
    • Coordinate academic enrichment initiatives such as STEM, literacy, and special events.

    Technology Integration

    • Promote effective use of digital learning tools and academic software.
    • Utilize technology to enhance data tracking, lesson design, and member engagement.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
    • 3–5 years of professional experience in education, academic enrichment, or youth development preferred.
    • Experience working with underserved communities is strongly preferred.
    • Leadership experience required.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
    • Ability to design and deliver engaging instruction.
    • Excellent organization, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
    • Comfortable analyzing data to improve program outcomes.
    • Proficient in Google Workspace; familiarity with academic technology tools.

    Physical & Environmental Requirements
