This position is responsible for complex budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Serving as a strategic partner to project teams, the PFO provides accurate financial data and guidance to support informed decision-making. Additionally, the PFO contributes to organizational leadership by helping shape policies and procedures that accelerate mission outcomes.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

You’re driven by purpose and powered by numbers. Multi-tab spreadsheets (color-coded of course!) are your happy place. A self-described data nerd, you see financial statements as stories waiting to be told. You are courageous, curious, and compassionate, and lead with integrity, agility, and resilience. Your highly collaborative approach builds strong relationships with deep trust. You know that increasing changemakers’ financial literacy accelerates impact and your consultative style helps project leaders make informed financial decisions with confidence. You are comfortable with ambiguity and skillfully help others navigate a volatile, uncertain, and complex world. You are highly organized with strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities. You care deeply about people and planet. Your combination of technical expertise in nonprofit finance and ability to facilitate critical conversations around sensitive financial matters sets you apart.
