    Lincoln Center Theater has produced over 200 plays and musicals at the Vivian Beaumont, Mitzi E. Newhouse, and Claire Tow Theaters at Lincoln Center and other theaters on and off-Broadway, as well as touring productions nationally and around the world. LCT is committed to developing and producing new works and classics with an emphasis on the work of new and emerging playwrights, directors, and designers. LCT’s education program, Open Stages, reaches thousands of public-school students annually with curriculum-related projects, teaching artist support, and tickets to LCT productions.

    Position Summary:

    The Social Media Manager is a newly formed role at Lincoln Center Theater, given the importance of community building and the dialogue that happens in the social space. Our goal is to develop innovative, engaging content that brings new visibility to LCT’s productions and activations, thereby supporting the overall efforts of the institution to broaden our reach and audience profile. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to think big through a passion of creating exciting content, both online and offline, to help build and expand the community of LCT.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversight and development of social media strategy and institutional social media calendar across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn as priorities).
    • Exercise excellent creative direction and editorial skills to curate posts to each platform’s audience.
    • Propel a sense of community through a distinct focus on community management, both on social platforms and in collaboration with membership initiatives, utilizing consistent brand voice.
    • Serve as the lead content creator and editor – both behind and in front of the camera when necessary.
    • Manage influencer / content creator outreach and relationships.
    • Actively monitor and assess social media landscape for best practices and important trends and platforms to adopt.
    • Ensure KPIs for social metrics are defined, measured, and tactics optimized to achieve benchmarks and beyond.
    • Collaborate with advertising agency on larger special projects, inclusive of video production and management.
    • Document and propel coverage and social media presence around major offline events, press announcements, making it possible for activations to have additional earned media and engagement.
    • Manage collaboration with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts communication tactics, as well as with other arts institutions where applicable.
    • In addition, this role will handle additional duties as assigned as required. This position will work in lockstep with the other members of the Marketing and Press departments. A nimble energy, solution-oriented mindset, enthusiastic drive to work positively at a quick pace is essential.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 3 years of managing social media for a brand, arts organization, or cultural institution.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic social media campaigns that drive engagement and increase visibility, with demonstrated expertise across major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) in terms of content creations, scheduling, analytics, and optimization.
    • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to cater voice/tone for different audiences and platforms, driving engagement and increased visibility.
    • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, Meta Business Suite), as well as the ability to translate analytics into actionable insights.
    • Experience using graphic design or video editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Canva, or CapCut.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with marketing, development, press, and artistic departments.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • A strong interest in theater and the theatrical industry at large is a bonus for anyone interested in this position.
    • In addition, this role will handle additional duties as assigned and required.     Compensation:

    This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position with an annual salary range of $70,000- $80,000.
