Role and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Assistant (WA) will assist the Warehouse Lead in receiving products, completing inventory, and ensuring safe and efficient storage of in-kind items. They will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Lead in all food programs, including setting-up, restocking, and closing all food service programs. (WA) will support all warehouse tasks, by organizing, cleaning, and maintaining garbage/recycle/compost systems. The (WA) will assist in quality control, food planning, and product rotation to make sure correct items are going out to respective programs at the right time and in a safe manner that aligns with all food safety protocols.
The Warehouse Assistant (WA) must be able to fill-in for Warehouse Lead in all day-to-day activities and provide back-up coverage during any type of leave. Back-Up support tasks will include efficiently operating an electric pallet jack, receiving in-kind donations, setting up, maintaining, and closing all food service program warehouse areas, leading volunteers, and interns in meeting all warehouse day-to-day goals or tasks. They will also be responsible for practicing effective communication with other employees of Rainier Valley Food Bank, ensuring the warehouse is supporting the needs of all food service programs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
No Education Experience Required.
At minimum 1 year of warehouse experience required.
