Position Overview
We are seeking a Sponsor Growth Manager to lead sponsor acquisition efforts in the Pittsburgh region. This is a part-time, performance-driven role (approximately 20 hours per week expected) with flexibility based on results. The role focuses on building partnerships, delivering in-person presentations, and converting individuals into sponsors through high-trust, community-based engagement. Success in this role is measured by outcomes, not hours worked.
What You Will Do
Build Partnerships
- Develop relationships with churches, community organizations, companies and local networks
- Secure speaking opportunities and manage ongoing engagement with partner organizations
Deliver Presentations & Drive Sponsorships
- Present to groups and clearly communicate the sponsorship model
- Lead sponsorship asks and convert interested individuals
- Follow up with prospective sponsors to close commitments
Manage Pipeline & Follow-Up
- Track leads, conversations, and outcomes
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective sponsors
- Build a simple, repeatable system for managing sponsor acquisition
Represent the Organization Locally
- Serve as a representative of Selfless Solutions in Pittsburgh and Western PA
- Build a strong local network and referral base
- Grow awareness and credibility within the community
What Success Looks Like
- Consistently closing 4+ new full sponsorships per month to start
- Building a growing network of active partner organizations
- Delivering regular presentations with strong conversion rates
- Creating a repeatable, sustainable sponsor acquisition pipeline
- Demonstrating ownership and ability to drive results independently
What We Are Looking For
- Strong communicator, comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Ability to build relationships and earn trust quickly
- Self-starter who can operate independently and manage their own pipeline
- Results-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability
Strong preference for candidates with experience in:
- Fundraising
- Sales or business development
- Partnership development or community outreach
Candidates with experience in roles that require direct outreach, relationship building, and closing commitments will be especially well suited for this position.
Location & Work Structure
- Must be based within a 45-minute driving distance of downtown Pittsburgh. Candidates located significantly outside this range will not be considered.
- Part-time role (~20 hours per week expected) with flexibility based on results
- Primarily remote, with regular in-person meetings, presentations, and events required
Compensation & Structure
- Part-time independent contractor (1099) role
- Starting compensation of approximately $24,000 annually
- Clear performance expectations tied to sponsor growth (target of 4+ new sponsors per month)
- Compensation expected to increase over time based on results and expanded responsibilities
- Reasonable travel expenses related to outreach, presentations, meetings, and other approved role-related activities may be reimbursed
