Hispanic Federation (HF) is the nation's premier Latino nonprofit membership organization. Founded in 1990, HF supports Hispanic families and strengthens Latino institutions through grantmaking, capacity building, policy, advocacy, and direct services in the areas of education, health, immigration, civic engagement, economic empowerment and the environment. HF has a staff of over 120 at its New York headquarters and field offices in Los Angeles, CA; Hartford, CT; Washington, DC; Orlando, FL; Chicago, IL; Charlotte and Mount Olive, NC; and San Juan, PR. It serves 133 member organizations and a national network of over 700 Latino nonprofits in 42 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia.
Hispanic Federation’s Economic Empowerment program focuses on creating a strong foundation to increase the financial health of Latino communities. Through culturally relevant community-focused workshops and events, non-profit capacity building and programmatic grantmaking, the Economic Empowerment program aims to educate individuals and families on financial foundational best practices, create opportunities for economic mobility, and advocate for financial resiliency. Since inception, the program has worked to positively impact communities in New York City and has grown to include communities across the United States and in Puerto Rico.
Who We Seek
Hispanic Federation seeks a motivated Economic Empowerment Program Manager who will be responsible for the operations of HF’s Economic Empowerment programmatic and advocacy efforts. Through the manager’s oversight, the program aims to increase the financial security of Latino families. The Program Manager reports to HF’s Director for Economic Empowerment and works to support and expand the organization’s economic empowerment portfolio. The portfolio includes HF’s signature financial education series, small business resiliency initiatives, economic mobility campaigns, and advocacy for financial resilience. In addition, the Economic Empowerment Program Manager will support HF’s workforce and digital equity initiatives and HF’s public policy priorities.
The successful candidate has experience working with communities of color and providing culturally competent educational workshops and community events. The program manager will gain exposure to diverse program areas providing services to the communities that HF serves. This position is also responsible for reporting to the director and internal departments on the program’s progress and outcomes.
The position is a hybrid role and will require a minimum of ten (10) days onsite a month.

Compensation and Benefits:
The position’s annual salary starts at $60,000-$70,000, and the salary is commensurate with experience. Compensation comes with a robust benefits package with fully subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance available upon first day of employment, 403(B) retirement plans with a company match after 6 months, and access to flexible spending and pre-tax commuter benefits.
First year employees of the Hispanic Federation receive a PTO package with 15 days designated for vacation, 4 Personal Days, and 8 Sick Days annually.
