This is a residential (overnight) summer camp position located in Huguenot, New York. Staff must be 18+ and live on-site for the duration of camp. Transportation is provided from Philadelphia.
Camp Jamison is hiring Activity Counselors for Summer 2026—a tech-light, overnight camp experience serving primarily Black youth from Philadelphia.
This is a fully immersive role. Staff live on-site, build real relationships with campers, and are part of every aspect of camp life—from leading activities during the day to showing up for meals, evening programs, and community moments.
We are a tech-light environment, meaning campers are not on phones and staff limit personal device use during the day. Our focus is on presence, connection, and creating a space where young people can experience joy, leadership, and growth in nature.
Activity Counselors lead one primary program area—such as arts, sports, nature, or creative programming—while also supporting the broader camp community. This role is best suited for individuals who want to do meaningful work with young people and be part of a team that values accountability, consistency, and showing up for each other.
This is not a typical summer job. It is a leadership experience grounded in youth development, community, and real impact.
