    Position Overview

    The Caseworker will provide direct support to women and families in crisis, guiding them through intake, needs assessment, and individualized planning. This role requires empathy, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to advocate effectively while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. The Caseworker will connect clients with critical housing, healthcare, legal, and social service resources, develop independent living plans, and ensure a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to care.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct thorough client intakes and needs assessments to identify immediate and long-term support needs
    • Develop, implement, and monitor independent living plans tailored to client goals
    • Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and safety planning when necessary
    • Connect clients with housing, healthcare, childcare, legal services, education, and employment resources
    • Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with organizational and legal requirements
    • Advocate for clients’ rights within housing, court, and social service systems
    • Participate actively in case reviews, team meetings, and professional development opportunities
    • Foster an environment rooted in confidentiality, respect, cultural sensitivity, and empowerment in all client interactions

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field required
    • Experience in direct client services, case management, or social services strongly preferred
    • Training in trauma-informed care and domestic violence crisis intervention preferred
    • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic, Urdu, Bangla, or other relevant languages is a plus
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support diverse populations
    • Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
    • Commitment to equity, inclusivity, and empowering clients toward independence
