Greene Scholars is seeking a dynamic Executive Director to lead the organization in fulfilling its mission and enhancing operational effectiveness. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide day-to-day leadership for all student and parent-facing programs and initiatives, including strategic planning, operations, program execution, and community outreach for our volunteer-driven out-of-school STEM enrichment program.
Key responsibilities include overseeing business and programmatic operations, ensuring the organization’s financial health, and implementing strategic initiatives. The Executive Director will also serve as the primary spokesperson for Greene Scholars, fostering community relationships and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
TThe position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and most daily work is performed remotely, with a requirement to attend in-person meetings and programming primarily in San Jose, CA, on a regular basis. Evening and weekend work is also required. Please note that travel and relocation expenses are not covered.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of leadership experience, including with volunteer-driven organizations. Strong skills in strategic planning, project management, financial management, donor relations, and personnel development are essential. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $150K-$170K, commensurate with experience.
