Plant Powered Metro New York (PPMNY) empowers the region’s diverse local communities to achieve vibrant health and overcome chronic illness with whole food, plant-based nutrition. Ample evidence shows that plant-powered eating can prevent and even reverse many of today’s common chronic diseases. Founded in 2019, PPMNY offers evidence-based education, resources, and support to inspire meaningful change, improve health outcomes, and reduce health disparities throughout the New York metropolitan area.'

Fundraising Backdrop
As a dynamic organization in high demand, PPMNY has grown extensively in budget and scope thanks to a wide and passionate base of volunteers, educators, and supporters. Our million dollar budget in FY26 is diversified to an extent, with income from foundations, individuals, fee-for-service projects with organizations, and paid programs for community members. As we approach our seventh anniversary, we recognize the need to build a more robust development program to especially cultivate individuals and family foundations, and a more sustainable approach to fundraising that provides critical support to our Network Director and Board of Directors.
About the Development Consultant
PPMNY seeks a skilled fundraising professional to collaborate with our Network Director on year-end fundraising and a 7th anniversary gala, raising gifts from individuals and family foundations or trusts, plus corporate sponsorship of the anniversary and other educational events.
The initial consulting term will run from October 2025 through March 2026, with the potential to renew.
