    School Van Driver – Buena Park Campus

    Schedule: Split shift: 6:00–9:00 a.m. & 2:00–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday

    Work Calendar: School year calendar + 20 summer program days + paid training

    Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt

    Salary Range: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour

Join Linden Oaks as a School Van Driver and help our students start and end their day with a safe, reliable, and welcoming transportation experience. With over 65 years of serving students with language, learning, emotional, and neurologically-based needs -including Autism Spectrum Disorder - you’ll play a key role in connecting young learners to the support and education they deserve.

    What You’ll Do

    • Safely transport students to and from school along assigned routes and schedules.
    • Foster a calm, positive, and supportive environment while students are in transit.
    • Support students with a wide range of abilities, remaining attentive to their needs and safety.
    • Maintain compliance with state and organizational safety regulations at all times.
    • Conduct vehicle inspections, follow reporting procedures, and ensure cleanliness of assigned vans.
    • Communicate professionally with school staff, and supervisors regarding student needs, route changes, and incidents.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Current California driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
    • Must be 23 years or older.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
    • Strong communication, patience, and situational awareness in a fast-moving environment.
    • Ability to follow safety protocols and respond appropriately in emergencies.
    • Commitment to reliability and professionalism - our students count on you!

    Compliance Requirements:

    • SB 88 compliance, including annual physical and participation in random drug testing.
