Location: Aventura Florida,The program is implemented across Miami-Dade, Broward, and
Palm Beach Counties. (This position is classified as hybrid, with a balanced schedule of
approximately 50% on-site and 50% remote work.)

Holocaust Heroes Worldwide serves Survivors in the South Florida tri-county area of
Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.
Position Summary:
At the heart of this role is a powerful mission ~ to enrich and uplift the lives of Holocaust
Survivors in their 80s, 90s, and even 100s. The Senior Program Coordinator plays a vital role
in bringing compassion, dignity, and connection to those who have already given so much to the
world.This is more than a job. It’s a calling for someone with a deep sense of responsibility and an
unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact in the final chapters of these Survivors’
lives. You’ll be the driving force behind the day-to-day implementation of HHW’s Tribe program
and direct care initiatives ~ ensuring Survivors feel seen, supported, and surrounded by a loving
community.
You’ll lead and assist in efforts to engage, onboard, and support Survivor participants, recruit
and train dedicated volunteers, manage daily program logistics, and build strong partnerships to
expand the program's reach. This role demands both heart and hustle ~ someone who can hold
space for personal stories while also ensuring the trains run on time.

Key Responsibilities:
Survivor & Volunteer Engagement:
Serve as a point of contact for Holocaust Survivor participants and volunteers
Conduct onboarding interviews and wellness check-ins with Survivors
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers of various ages and backgrounds
Provide ongoing support to volunteers, including setting expectations, following up on
assignments, and maintaining clear boundaries
Respond to emergency needs and provide specialized support for Survivors
Foster meaningful, long-term connections between volunteers and Survivors
Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
Program & Logistics Management:
Oversee daily operations of HHW’s Tribe Project and other care programs
Assist in building new TRIBES (support teams for individual Survivors)
Coordinate and implement holiday events, social activities, and special projects
Support enrollment into sponsorship or resource opportunities
Maintain accurate data and documentation using HHW’s internal systems
Manage scheduling, transportation coordination, and other logistical needs
Community Partnerships & Outreach:
Support the development and maintenance of relationships with partner organizations to
support program growth
Represent HHW at community events, forums, and outreach opportunities
Help develop training materials and lead volunteer onboarding sessionsCommunication & Administrative Support:
Draft and schedule social media updates and email communications
Assist in preparing program reports and grant-related documentation
Provide general operational support to the CEO and Program Director as needed
Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in community engagement/ elder care/ social services /
education, or nonprofit work.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Deep compassion for Holocaust Survivors and an understanding of their unique needs
(experience working with Survivors or Elders is a strong advantage)
Strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced, committed work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Native-level fluency in English (spoken and written)
Proficiency in Hebrew, Russian, or Spanish is a strong plus
Experience in education or public speaking is a plus
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Familiarity with basic technology tools (zoom,email, spreadsheets, databases, etc.) and
open to learning new systems.
