    About the Role

    As Sr. Coordinator, Community Engagement & Employer Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in supporting LeadersUp’s efforts to expand inclusive hiring pathways and economic opportunity for BIPOC young adults, especially justice-involved individuals, through meaningful community and employer partnerships across Los Angeles County.

    You will support the implementation of outreach campaigns, community activations, and workforce initiatives in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Working cross-functionally, your contributions will directly support the goals of the Stakeholder Engagement team and the Equity Unleashed portfolio to shift narratives and drive systems change.

    This is a part-time, temporary assignment (TA) with the opportunity for full-time employment beginning Q1 2026, based on organizational needs and performance.

    Essential Duties

    Community Engagement & Outreach Support

    • Assist in executing strategic outreach plans in collaboration with CBOs, employers, and regional partners.
    • Represent LeadersUp at local convenings, job fairs, youth events, and forums.
    • Conduct targeted outreach and relationship-building with community organizations to drive program participation.
    • Support the planning, logistics, and facilitation of community convenings, listening sessions, and communities of practice (CoPs).

    Employer Partnership Development

    • Help onboard, coordinate, and support employer partners participating in inclusive hiring efforts.
    • Manage communications, scheduling, and logistics for hiring events, career exploration experiences, and training activations.
    • Track and document partner engagement outcomes and event impact metrics.

    Advocacy & Narrative Change

    • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to co-develop outreach content, employer spotlights, and social impact messaging.
    • Support storytelling strategies that uplift BIPOC young adult experiences and regional economic empowerment results.

    Project Alignment & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and support workflow documentation including SOPs and shared systems.
    • Track and report on activities aligned with Stakeholder Engagement OKRs, including employer engagement, market expansion, and demonstration projects.
    • ​​Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications, Capabilities & Experience

    • Experience supporting community outreach, workforce development, or youth-serving programs, preferably in the nonprofit or public sector.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build trust-based relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage event logistics and outreach campaigns with attention to detail and cultural relevance.
    • Proficient in tools such as Google Workspace and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Airtable) for tracking and reporting.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.
    • Skills can be showcased through a combination of education, full-time, part-time, internship, and/or freelance positions, reflecting a comprehensive and adaptable skill set.

    • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may vary from time to time.

    Remote Work Requirements

    • Quiet, distraction-free workspace.
    • Reliable high-speed internet (min. 10Mbps upload / 50Mbps download; preferred 25 Mbps upload / 100 Mbps download).

    This is a part-time, temporary position and is not eligible for medical, dental, vision, or other employer-sponsored benefits. However, as a part-time employee, you are eligible for statutory sick leave in accordance with local and state laws.

    LeadersUp offers a flexible, remote-friendly work environment, including a 9/80 work schedule, allowing for every other Friday off to support wellness and work-life balance. You’ll be part of a mission-driven team committed to equity, innovation, and impact.
