    LCFA is on a vital mission to improve lung cancer survival through research, education, and advocacy. We're seeking an exceptional professional who can serve as the primary liaison between LCFA and our Voices of Hope Speakers Bureau and Early Career Researchers—proactively managing relationships and coordinating activities that amplify patient voices and advance lung cancer research visibility.

    We are a small organization, so everyone is called on to pitch in all kinds of ways. You will be collaborating with the entire team—there is lots of room to learn and grow in this job.

    Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

    Relationship Management

    • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for LCFA's Speakers Bureau members and Early Career Researchers.
    • Proactively reach out to Speakers Bureau members and researchers to nurture relationships and stay informed on their conference attendance plans, presentations, publications, and personal updates.
    • Manage recruitment and onboarding of new Speakers Bureau members (goal: 12 new members annually and maintain accurate records of member status and availability.
    • Communicate expectations and requirements for Speakers Bureau members and Early Career Researchers.
    • Coordinate and co-host monthly meetings for Speakers Bureau Members and frequent meetings for Researchers.

    Conference Coordination

    • Coordinate LCFA's presence and activities at key conferences such as ASCO, IASLC World Conference on Lung Cancer, Targeted Therapies, and others.
    • Organize informal social and networking events for LCFA's researchers, Speakers Bureau members, and other stakeholders at conferences.
    • Schedule interviews, podcasts, and other content capture opportunities with LCFA-funded researchers and patient advocates during conferences.
    • Ensure LCFA has strategic visibility and presence at priority conferences throughout the year.
    • Collaborate with the team to develop an overall strategy and budget for LCFA's conference presence and researcher engagement.
    • Potential travel to key conferences and events to represent LCFA and coordinate on-site activities.

    Content Development & Media Support

    • Coordinate with communications partners to pitch Speakers Bureau members in their local markets, helping share their stories and insights throughout the year.
    • Support content creation for key awareness campaigns including World Lung Cancer Day and Lung Cancer Awareness Month.
    • Help restructure Speakers Bureau meetings to focus on content creation opportunities such as panel discussions on specific topics.
    • Coordinate Zoom interviews with patients, researchers, and doctors for podcasts, social media, and website content.
    • Track media placements and impressions for Speakers Bureau members to measure engagement impact.

    Event Support

    • Support planning and execution of the annual Patient Advocates Workshop (PAW).
    • Assist with video production coordination at LCFA events for website and social media use.
    • Contribute to World Lung Cancer Day activities including live content, video tapings, and social media support.

    Required Qualifications:

    • BA/BS or Associate's Degree, or at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Event Coordination, or a related field. We recognize the value of diverse experiences that allow for impactful careers without formal degrees.
    • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including patients, caregivers, and medical researchers.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and travel logistics simultaneously.
    • Experience coordinating events, meetings, or conferences (virtual or in-person).
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for nurturing long-term relationships.
    • Comfort with technology platforms for virtual meetings, content management, and project tracking.
    • Ability and willingness to travel to conferences and events as needed.
    • Remote work experience with a dedicated home office setup and reliable internet.
    • Demonstrated ability to interact with patients and caregivers with empathy, sensitivity, and respect, particularly when supporting individuals facing life-altering health conditions.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while also taking initiative and ownership of projects.
    • Proven leadership skills, with the confidence to guide others, make sound decisions, and drive work forward independently when needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with patient advocacy groups or healthcare organizations
    • Familiarity with
