    Compensation: Commensurate with experience (at maximum $3200 a month)

    About Landmarked: Making Memory Move

    Landmarked: Making Memory Move is a multifaceted organization activating public memory through performance, visual art, and community storytelling. From 2025 to 2028, we are launching an expanded public performance program that explores new ways to democratize public space, centered on deep community collaboration and artistic experimentation.

    Job Summary

    The Part-Time Program Director will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of the Making Memory Move public performance initiative. This role blends visionary leadership with strong project management and community engagement skills. The Director will work closely with the Founding Director and staff to oversee programs, partnerships, and the artistic integrity of the initiative.

    This is a three month contractual position with opportunity for renewal and full time growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Oversight

    • Lead the Making Memory Move initiative including yearly work plans, program budgets, performance timelines, and post-program evaluations.
    • Supervise and guide the Program Coordinators.
    • Manage all phases of public-facing events including community workshops, performances, and conversations including but not limited to:
      • Uphold the creative integrity of the program by overseeing rehearsals, documentation, and artist development.

    Community Engagement & Partnerships

    • Serve as primary liaison for community site partners regarding communications, contracts, and event planning.
    • Support stakeholder engagement and align programming with partner priorities.
    • Identify and cultivate new community-based collaborators and long-term partnerships.

    Artist Management

    • Oversee hiring of local artists, including open calls, onboarding, contracts, and scheduling.
    • Facilitate artist support: work plans, feedback sessions, performance reviews, and rehearsals.
    • Act as a bridge between artists, historians, and the Founding Director to maintain artistic and historical alignment.

    Project Leadership & Strategic Planning

    • Collaborate on grant writing and reporting with development staff.
    • Ensure cross-functional alignment with LandMarked's broader goals and mission.
    • Track project progress, make strategic adjustments, and report regularly to the Founding Director.
    • Lead special initiatives and contribute to organizational growth and visibility.

    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in public programs, arts education, social justice initiatives, or community-based art.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Experience with socially engaged facilitation and programming.
    • Tech proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and project management tools.
    • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and coordinate across a remote team.
    • Deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-driven work.
    • Detail oriented

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in a related field (or equivalent job experience.)
    • Experience in public art, community-engaged arts, or site-specific performance.

    Physical & Working Conditions

    • Must be able to work remotely, travel occasionally for site visits or events.
    • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and performing light physical tasks (moving materials, event setup, etc.).
    • Visual and verbal acuity necessary for communication, meetings, and planning.
