Reports to: Manager of Leadership & Section Programs
WFH/Hours: M-F 9-5. Will require hours outside of regular time. Eligible for WFH based on business needs.
SUMMARY:
The Sections Assistant ensures the proper administration of the BBA calendar of activities and provides guidance and administrative support for key volunteer groups, including the Sections, Networks, and other BBA groups. This position will also provide administrative support for CLEs and Conferences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Sections in planning and executing professional development programs and other activities. This includes scheduling and managing the timely submission of program information, materials, and any other required documents for the program.
- Provide guidance and support to steering committees and advisory committees, including the communication and enforcement of BBA procedures, and provide administrative support for their programs and activities.
- Provide administrative support for programs as assigned, including the Public Interest Leadership Program.
- Coordinate with speakers and panelists to collect biographies, headshots, program descriptions, and other materials for conferences and programs.
- Back up the catering orders and budget for professional development programs, as well as other necessary programs.
- Work with relevant staff to coordinate the promotion and marketing of Brown Bag, CLE, and other Section programs.
- Engage in customer service functions with BBA Members.
- Occasional event logistics support for on- and off-site programs and events.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and the Assistant Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Years of Experience: 0-2 years.
Specific Experience: Some office experience preferred.
Degree: College Degree Preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Other technical: Salesforce experience a plus.
Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Writing: Ability to write professional correspondence.
Project Management: Possess the ability to work on projects independently.
General: Willingness to tackle new problems and challenges.
