About New Yorkers United for Child Care

New Yorkers United for Child Care (NYUC) is a growing movement of parents, would-be parents, and New Yorkers fighting to win free, universal child care for all. Through people-powered organizing, direct action, and strategic campaigns, we’ve won major victories—saving 3-K, expanding free full-day care, and making child care a top city and statewide political issue. Now, with the Governor’s recent commitments to a statewide 3-K and Pre-K guarantee, we are organizing to make those commitments real—and to win more.

This is a chance to play a central role in a historic fight to win universal child care in New York State. You’ll work alongside powerful parent leaders, help shape statewide political outcomes, and be part of a movement that believes people power wins change.
