MID-LEVEL GIVING OFFICER

Individual Giving and Engagement Team (IGET), Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing and Supporter Engagement, Events Lead, Public Engagement, Constituent Product Team, Donor Services, and Donors.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Mid-Level Giving Officer will play a crucial role in managing and growing a portfolio of high-capacity mid-level donors and implementing one-to-some strategies with additional mid-level donors. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to retain and engage current mid-level donors and transition mid-level donors to major donor status. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Marketing Strategy, Digital, and Individual Giving and Engagement teams to create personalized donor journeys and enhance donor engagement across multiple channels.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Prospecting: Qualify new high-capacity mid-level prospects for assignment to major donor portfolios in consultation with the Mid-Level Giving Program Lead and the Senior Prospect Research Officer.
•Donor Upgrades: Develop and execute strategies to upgrade mid-level donors to major donor status in collaboration with Mid-Level Giving Program Lead, Senior Manager, Direct Marketing and the Senior Prospect Research Officer by deploying creative strategies for engagement, leveraging existing content and offerings, and developing personalized communications including the promotion of non-cash giving.
•Multi-Channel Engagement: Utilize various communication channels, including email, SMS, personalized cards, telemarketing, video messaging, and virtual/in-person events, to engage donors based on their preferences.
•Data Analysis: Use data models and analytics tools (e.g., Dataro/Integral) and collaborate across high, mid and low-level donor teams to identify opportunities for donor engagement, touchpoint planning and pipeline development.
•Donor Maintenance: Collaborate with team members and the Development Relationship Associate to ensure timely and accurate completion of routine tasks such as gift acknowledgements, solicitation and cultivation mailings, event invitations, CRM data entry, and database coding of gifts.
•Perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION
EXPERIENCE AND CORE COMPETENCIES
•Proven track record of managing donor portfolios, personally soliciting and closing gifts, and achieving fundraising goals.
•Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with donors.
•Excellent listening and motivational skills. Comfort working with a variety of personal styles. Ability to keep situations from escalating into larger issues and to mitigate/resolve conflicts that do arise.
•Basic understanding of prospect research tools and methodology.
•Analytical skills to interpret donor data and develop targeted engagement strategies.
•Greater focus on strategy development and marketing for non-cash gifts.
•Strong understanding of donor motivations and giving patterns.
•Proficiency in donor database management and CRM systems.
•Passion for the organization's mission with the ability to articulate it coherently to donors, and commitment to ethical fundraising practices.
·Ability to see jobs to completion, set priorities, and engage constructively in problem solving.
·Ability to use discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
·High degree of initiative and commitment to goal attainment and quality standards.
·Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices as defined by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
PREFERRRED QUALIFICATIONS
Hiring Range $68,000-$75,000
