Rolling Application: Candidates Are Currently Being Reviewed.

The American Discovery Trail is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2026 along with the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The Celebration includes a unique signature event: a 6,800 mile relay connecting California to Delaware using hiking, running, biking, horses, wheelchairs, etc led by outdoor enthusiasts ideally from all 50 states. The relay will be during the second half of 2026, with planning occurring during the first half.

We’re looking for a dynamic, creative, and highly organized individual to be a partner in planning the relay, play a role in securing sponsors, assist with participant registration, contribute greatly to communications and PR, and help organize trail-side events with local and state-wide entities. This may include traveling to sites along the route, which runs from California to Delaware, and serving as the connective tissue between the route and our various audiences.

This is a dream job for an entrepreneurial person who has a talent for visual storytelling and logistics, is willing to live with uncertainty, loves people, and wants to be part of an iconic outdoor experience celebrating the American Discovery Trail’s legacy and future.
