    We’re seeking a visionary and dynamic Operations Coordinator (OC) to join our team at the City-Wide Tenant Union of Rochester, NY. Working on operations of the Union you will lead our organization towards the next phase of growth and success. As the OC, you will be responsible for shaping the Union’s strategy, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the achievement of financial and organizational goals. If you possess exceptional leadership skills and have a proven track record in managing organizational operations within social justice movements, this is an exciting role to pursue.     Job Responsibilities

    Support defining and driving the organization's strategy with alignment with its long-term vision and short-term objectives.

    • Setting performance targets and ensuring their achievement through effective delegation and oversight.
    • Leading and mentoring a high-performing leadership team to drive operational excellence.

    Overseeing the overall organizational operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and efficacy across organizational teams.

    • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve organizational objectives
    • Support organizational culture and ensure alignment between values, mission, and day-to-day operations.

    Managing organizational leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in the Union.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with members and community organizations as relevant for operations coordination.

    Leading the organization’s financial management, including optimal resource allocation, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

    • Review and track budget in collaboration with leadership team and fiscal sponsor
    • Review and track grants and liaise with funders to ensure compliance
    • Act as primary liaison with fiscal sponsor for administrative & business functions

    Required skills and qualifications

    • More than have 3 years experience organizing in social movements
    • Experience in coordinating/managing large-scale projects
    • Deep knowledge of nonprofit operations and financial management.
    • Ability to build infrastructure with a hunger to design new systems, and with creativity - thinking outside of the box on structures, systems, etc
    • Proven experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and organizational management.
    • Exceptional leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to handle complex challenges and responsibilities.
    • Strong financial skills with a proven ability to manage budgets and drive financial sustainability
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team and work with stakeholders at all levels.
    • A track record of successful organizational growth and sustainability.

    Preferred skills and qualifications

    • Background in nonprofits and/or social movements
    • Expertise in crisis and change management and organizational development.
    • Strong network within the movement and a reputation for thought leadership.
    • Fluency in Spanish is a plus, as it helps us break down language barriers and ensure equitable access to our services and resources for all communities.
