Who We Are
New Jersey Harm Reduction Coalition (NJHRC) is on a mission to create a New Jersey that values the safety and dignity of all people who use drugs—and we're making it happen. Since incorporating in 2020, we've built two Harm Reduction Centers, launched a community drug checking program, and changed laws to expand syringe services and naloxone access.
NJHRC accomplishes this through direct harm reduction services (Middlesex Harm Reduction Center and Statewide Harm Reduction Center), training and technical assistance, and policy advocacy. Your work as Program Director will directly reach thousands of New Jerseyans while establishing new standards for excellence in harm reduction.

NJHRC is at a pivotal moment as we expand our director team with four new positions: Program Director, Operations Director, Development Director, and Policy & Communications Director. We're looking for "swiss army knife" candidates with a track record of getting sht done with care, leading through change with grace, and building programs, systems, and teams from the ground up.
The Opportunity: Program Director
As Program Director, you'll lead the operational heart of NJHRC by shaping how we deliver services, developing emerging leaders on our team, and designing systems and workflows to achieve our goals. You'll build and manage a team of up to 15 staff, consultants, and interns and be a key external face of NJHRC in our communities. You'll lead excellence, growth, and teamwork across:

Health benefits: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees. For employees with eligible dependents, NJHRC pays 100% of total benefit costs (employee + dependents) up to $1,200/month.
