    Position Summary

    The Individual Giving Manager is a key member of the Development team, leading multi-channel fundraising campaigns to inspire and grow donor engagement.

    This revenue-generating position is responsible for securing essential funding for Weld Food Bank’s (WFB) operations and nutritional programs. The role focuses on expanding philanthropic support by identifying and strengthening relationships with community stakeholders, actively engaging and stewarding individual donors, and managing a strong pipeline of prospects. Blending strategy, creativity, and relationship-building, this position drives individual giving success.

    You will oversee campaign execution, donor communications, and CRM management.

    This position represents the organization with Individuals, business and community groups, promoting WFB’s mission to all audiences. You’ll work closely with colleagues in Marketing, Operations, and Development to build meaningful donor relationships and achieve organizational fundraising goals by managing an existing portfolio and cultivating new prospects.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to and working in partnership with the Chief Development Officer, Director of Corporate Partnership and Engagement, and the Community Engagement Manager, this position will develop and implement strategies and tactics to:

    • Increase donor engagement and giving through high-quality cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship across a portfolio of approximately 200 relationships.
    • Activities include phone calls, virtual and in-person meetings, presentations, emails, mailed communications, and event participation.
    • Identify prospects and develop strategies for cultivating new individual donor relationships that best support financial giving goals.
    • Develop portfolios for CDO and CEO and work with them to set annual goals for major gfts.
    • Partner with two other Development team members (each with their own portfolios) on shared philanthropy goals, including campaign strategies and messaging.
    • Deliver customized cultivation and stewardship strategies, leveraging the expertise of teams and departments across the organization.
    • Accurately maintain account records—including activities, solicitations, presentations, and outcomes—in Donor Perfect (WFB’s Customer Relationship Management system).
    • Engage donor participation in the full range of WFB events and programs, including volunteering, special events, and referrals.
    • Represent Weld Food Bank at external functions.

    Qualifications

    • 2–5 years of experience in a non-profit or community-impact philanthropy department or similar role managing external stakeholder relationships.
    • Passion for WFB’s mission and a desire to excel in philanthropy and fundraising.
    • Appreciation for humor and a genuine care for people.
    • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and technology, including Donor Perfect or similar CRM, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail; capable of handling interruptions while maintaining accuracy.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to collect and analyze data to guide effective decision-making.
    • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Must successfully pass pre-employment criminal background check.

    Additional Information

    • Work is performed in an office environment, often involving extended periods at a computer or in meetings.
    • Some evenings, weekends, and occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
    • Work may involve lifting, moving, or carrying objects weighing 20–40 pounds, such as boxes of supplies; some crouching, bending, kneeling, and reaching may be required for filing.

    Compensación

    Weld Food Bank pays between 85-95% of health insurance for the employee and provides dental, vision, 3% retirement match, paid vacation, and sick leave.
